Episode 6 recap: The vanguard platoon strives to catch up and assist in the progress of the project. Villagers are dissatisfied with the detention of Tian Jian by the exploration team.
When the soldiers of the vanguard platoon worked tirelessly to build the Chongqing-Chengdu Railway, the people of Yongquan Town were deeply moved. Led by Mayor Guo, they brought delicious food such as cured meat and eggs to comfort the soldiers. Luo Xiangqian was deeply inspired and encouraged the soldiers to work hard to complete the railway as soon as possible to repay the hospitality of the villagers.

Luo Xiangqian assigned the soldiers of the vanguard platoon to complete 2 units per day. Sha Kai found it unbelievable upon hearing this.
Tian Jian, along with Ye Lan and others, continued the construction and exploration work. Despite his old age, Tian Jian personally took charge of everything and diligently collected various data. One day, Tian Jian brought the exploration team to a place called Qinggangpo and took Ye Lan to a high point. One man, dressed in a Zhongshan suit, kept provoking and agitating the situation, further fueling the anger of the Sun family members. They captured Ma Bin and Zheng Yan, and Tian Jian, upon hearing the news, rushed over with Ye Lan. He repeatedly tried to persuade the other side to release the two, but the Sun family members, taking advantage of their larger numbers, refused to listen.
Helpless, Tian Jian had no choice but to offer himself in exchange for Ma Bin and Zheng Yan. Ye Lan went to seek help from the village chief. Considering that the Sun family held a significant position in the village, the village chief advised caution in dealing with the situation. Upon hearing this, Ye Lan seemed deep in thought. Zheng Yan and Ma Bin reported the incident involving the man in the Zhongshan suit to the village chief, who speculated that it might be Old Wu from the village. They decided to report the case to the police station.
