Episode 12 recap: The eunuch's cave breeds affection.
Mei Shi Qi discovered that Leng Mo Yan was not a eunuch, so she tied him up and waited for him to wake up. When Leng Mo Yan woke up, he explained his identity, stating that he was Leng Mo Yan's twin brother. The real Leng Mo Yan had already been assassinated, and he had assumed Leng Mo Yan's identity to continue the investigation.
Shi Jian Chuan and Nan Gong Xiu went to meet Shen Gu Feng, claiming that Mei Shi Qi deceived Leng Mo Yan and that Luo Qing Chen had killed Leng Mo Yan and framed him. Nan Gong Xiu believed Shi Jian Chuan's words and urgently asked for Shen Gu Feng's help in finding Leng Mo Yan.
Shen Gu Feng didn't know where Leng Mo Yan was, so he could only use a secret order from the Hidden Guard Bureau to lure Mei Shi Qi out and have Mei Shi Qi find Leng Mo Yan. Mei Shi Qi didn't believe Leng Mo Yan's explanation, and after some banter and flirtation with Leng Mo Yan, she happened to see the secret order and hurried to meet Master Jiang Bie Yan.
Upon arriving at the designated location, Mei Shi Qi realized that she had been deceived, and at that moment, Shi Jian Chuan and the others appeared, pressuring Mei Shi Qi to hand over Leng Mo Yan. Mei Shi Qi refused to surrender, and Shi Jian Chuan fought with her but couldn't overpower her. Shen Gu Feng had no choice but to shake a bell to force Mei Shi Qi to submit.
Mei Shi Qi endured the pain of the separation of the soul and struck down Shen Gu Feng's bell before escaping. However, Shen Gu Feng became even more interested in Mei Shi Qi because of her escape. Shen Gu Feng pursued Mei Shi Qi and found Leng Mo Yan, directly proposing marriage to Mei Shi Qi.
Mei Shi Qi fell into Shen Gu Feng's trap and didn't believe his words. Leng Mo Yan also expressed that Mei Shi Qi might have someone she loves and supported Mei Shi Qi in rejecting Shen Gu Feng's proposal. Mei Shi Qi thought Leng Mo Yan was helping her, but she didn't expect that Leng Mo Yan was actually looking for an opportunity to escape, leaving her feeling angry and resentful.
Seeing Mei Shi Qi's anger, Shen Gu Feng understood that Leng Mo Yan was the person Mei Shi Qi had feelings for, but Mei Shi Qi didn't admit it. Shen Gu Feng didn't mind and acknowledged that Mei Shi Qi's heart belonged to Leng Mo Yan, but he would compete fairly with Leng Mo Yan and strive to win Mei Shi Qi's affection.
