Episode 19 recap: Kaneki Kaede usurped the throne and imprisoned Shi Jian Chuan.
Mei Shi Qi couldn't save Leng Mo Yan, so she had to use invisibility to go to the celestial prison and meet Leng Mo Yan. She wanted to see what Leng Mo Yan was up to and expose Kaneki Kaede's conspiracy. Leng Mo Yan explained that Kaneki Kaede was deeply hidden and didn't want Mei Shi Qi to interfere anymore, but Mei Shi Qi didn't agree.
Mei Shi Qi believed that Shi Jian Chuan had betrayed Leng Mo Yan and that Leng Mo Yan had no one left to rely on. She thought that she had to listen to Mei Shi Qi in order to stop Kaneki Kaede's conspiracy. Leng Mo Yan felt that Kaneki Kaede's martial arts were suspicious, and the Van Yin mind control technique could only be used to eliminate Kaneki Kaede. He suspected that he had been poisoned the last time when Kaneki Kaede secretly sprinkled poison on him using the Van Yin mind control technique.
Leng Mo Yan asked Mei Shi Qi to investigate and eliminate Kaneki Kaede. Mei Shi Qi requested a little encouragement from Leng Mo Yan and asked him to kiss her. Mei Shi Qi used the Meizhuang voice transmission technique to hide in the shadows and transmitted messages through a chamber pot in front of Leng Mo Yan, who mistakenly thought that the chamber pot was Mei Shi Qi.
Mei Shi Qi asked Leng Mo Yan to kiss her, and although Leng Mo Yan hesitated, he agreed to kiss the chamber pot, only to find out that Mei Shi Qi had appeared at that moment. Mei Shi Qi was proud that she had finally tricked Leng Mo Yan once, and Leng Mo Yan stopped arguing with Mei Shi Qi and directly kissed her.
Mei Shi Qi took her senior brothers to investigate and eliminate Kaneki Kaede, only to discover that Shi Jian Chuan was imprisoned there. They then realized that the person who betrayed Leng Mo Yan was Shi Jian Chuan's younger brother, Shi Jian Qing.
Shi Jian Chuan originally intended to persuade Shi Jian Qing to change his ways, but unexpectedly, he was manipulated by Shi Jian Qing and eventually imprisoned by him. Shi Jian Chuan revealed that on the day when Shi Jian Qing asked him to assassinate Emperor Yu together in the Jinluan Palace, he was secretly knocked unconscious by Kaneki Kaede and then imprisoned. Feeling guilty, he wanted to commit suicide. Mei Shi Qi intercepted Shi Jian Chuan and asked him to join them in rescuing Leng Mo Yan first.
After resolving the situation with Leng Mo Yan, Kaneki Kaede wanted to eliminate the obstacle of Jing Wang. So, when seeking the emperor's permission to execute Leng Mo Yan, Kaneki Kaede exposed the evidence of Jing Wang's collusion with the ministers through the Furong Tower. When Emperor Yu was almost convinced by Kaneki Kaede's words, Mei Shi Qi discovered Kaneki Kaede's true identity and came to expose it.
Kaneki Kaede is the son of the former Prince Ning, Yu Feng, who has hidden a rebellious force. His plan is to eliminate Leng Mo Yan first and then Jing Wang in order to seize the throne. When Emperor Yu learned of Kaneki Kaede's true identity, he was particularly astonished, while Kaneki Kaede believed that everything was under his control and no longer concealed his identity.
Kaneki Kaede admitted his identity and directly used the Van Yin mind control technique to control everyone present. He imprisoned Mei Shi Qi and forced her to marry him.
