Episode 4 recap: Zi Chuan Xiu and Lu Di had a martial arts contest.
Zi Chuan Xiu looked at his older brother while the second brother handed him an envelope. He reminded Zi Chuan Xiu that they used to use a whistle signal only in urgent situations, but now both brothers were using it to summon him to repay the money. He felt like he was being treated like a monkey. After careful consideration, Di Lin told Zi Chuan Xiu that he had discussed it with Si Yilin and they both believed that if Zi Chuan Xiu didn't repay their money now, it would be impossible in the future and would be seen as inaction.
Zi Chuan Xiu tried to argue by saying that he had just returned to the capital and was soon going to repay the money, especially now that he had become a deputy commander. Si Yilin punctured Zi Chuan Xiu's argument by pointing out that Yang Ming Hua, who could manipulate things behind the scenes, had survived in the capital, which was not easy. How could he possibly repay the money? Di Lin further added that Zi Chuan Xiu might be left with nothing but misfortune and bad luck.
Zi Chuan Xiu asked Di Lin if, after being by Yang Ming Hua's side for many years, he had noticed that Yang Ming Hua was planning a rebellion. Di Lin believed that Yang Ming Hua currently had the intention to rebel but lacked the ability to do so. It would take a few more years.
Si Yilin also believed that if Yang Ming Hua teamed up with the other three armies in the vicinity, General Ge Ying Xing would be in danger. Zi Chuan Ning gave Bai Chuan some medicine to try to learn about Zi Chuan Xiu's habits and deeds outside.
After hearing about the feather from Zi Chuan Ning, Bai Chuan felt that Zi Chuan Xiu was actually quite attentive. Zi Chuan Xiu told Di Lin about his recent distress, feeling like a weed that couldn't match those rich young ladies. However, one of those rich young ladies was relentless in pursuing him, which caused him a lot of distress. Di Lin advised Zi Chuan Xiu to drown his sorrows in alcohol. Ka Dan wanted the medical officer to treat their people, who were prisoners of the knights, but Ka Dan was threatened by Si Yilin. Si Yilin couldn't bear to see it and helped Ka Dan. However, Ka Dan didn't want special treatment for himself at the expense of the suffering of the common people.
Yang Ming Hua wanted to take advantage of the situation and make the northern people bleed. Ge Ying Xing persuaded Lord Muqi, and the two sides reached an agreement. Zi Chuan Xiu looked at Zi Chuan Ning, who kept coming to find him, pretending to want to send her away, but Zi Chuan Ning acted as if she didn't see it and kept pestering Zi Chuan Xiu to go out and play.
Zi Chuan Xiu hinted to his subordinates to act as if he was very busy.
Zi Chuan Ning actually knew that Zi Chuan Xiu was intentionally avoiding her. Lu Di came to the capital wanting to have a conversation with the northern tribe people, but Zi Chuan Xiu kept interrupting Lu Di.

In fact, Zi Chuan Xiu and Lu Di knew each other, and when they fought, Zi Chuan Xiu pretended to care a lot but secretly signaled to Lu Di, letting him win by secretly going easy on him. Ge Ying Xing was afraid that the northern tribe would tear up the treaty when returning and invade the capital again.
Lu Di wanted to personally escort the princess back to the Bei tribe and promised not to cause trouble in the capital anymore. Yang Ming Hua thought it was unnecessary and wanted to manipulate the safety of Princess Ka Dan to sabotage the agreement. Zi Chuan Xiu also wanted to use the money to help Ka Dan. Ka Dan actually understood the intention behind Zi Chuan Xiu's pretend harassment that time. Zi Chuan Xiu saw that Ka Dan understood his actions and felt that his well-intentioned plan wasn't in vain. Before he could finish speaking, he was pulled out by Si Yilin.
