Episode 5 recap: Zi Chuan Xiu pretended to be Ka Dan.
Stalin pulled Zi Chuan Xiu aside and complained that Zi Chuan Xiu came here without saying a word. Zi Chuan Xiu cautiously asked Stalin if there were any new prisoners in the prison recently. Stalin hadn't noticed anything unusual lately, but seeing Zi Chuan Xiu's expression, he felt that something must have happened.
Zi Chuan Xiu told Stalin about the peace talks with the Northern Tribe tomorrow, and as the princess of the Northern Tribe, Ka Dan had to be present for the talks to proceed. Otherwise, they would be canceled. In other words, from tonight until tomorrow morning, the princess's safety was of utmost importance. Zi Chuan Xiu also mentioned that she had met her older brother. Stalin understood the gravity of the situation and emphasized the need for a thorough investigation after completing this task to prevent any moles from infiltrating. Zi Chuan Xiu advised her older brother to protect the Northern Tribe's princess closely at this critical moment. Zi Chuan Xiu and her older brother approached the princess, with Zi Chuan Xiu pretending not to care and letting Stalin explain. Stalin expressed his interest in Ka Dan, appearing somewhat shy.
As expected, those people made their move at night. After disguising herself, Ka Dan was taken to a safe place by Stalin, who seemed uncomfortable talking to her. Zi Chuan Xiu pretended that Ka Dan was discovered by Bai Chuan, and Bai Chuan thought Zi Chuan Xiu was a pervert for self-admiring her appearance during this crisis.
Upon hearing the sound of a cup breaking, Stalin hurriedly entered the room and found the princess missing. He immediately realized that something was amiss and suspected the involvement of a hidden mastermind. Yang Ming Hua also learned that the Northern Tribe's princess had been swapped. After getting on the sedan chair, Ka Dan noticed something wrong with the people inside the dumplings and realized that they might pose a threat to her.
Stalin followed the tracks of the carriage to find Ka Dan. When Ka Dan was brought to a desolate place, those people around her intended to harm her and disrupt the agreement between the two countries. Ka Dan knew that these people must be under the command of Ka Dun, her older brother, who was willing to kill her to prevent the peace talks. Ka Dan told those people that she wanted to understand her fate, and at that moment, Zi Chuan Xiu arrived just in time to save Ka Dan but got injured by a hidden arrow.
Zi Chuan Ning saw the room of Zi Chuan Xiu with women's clothes and became angry, feeling that Zi Chuan Xiu had betrayed her.
Zi Chuan Xiu couldn't tell Zi Chuan Ning due to the mission. After receiving the information, Zi Chuan Xiu realized that the mantis stalks the cicada, unaware of the oriole behind, and that Stalin might be in danger.
Stalin, severely injured, fled to a cave with Ka Dan. After experiencing such a terrifying ordeal, Ka Dan became somewhat frightened, and Stalin carried her as they ran away. Ge Ying Xing managed to keep Lu Di in the reception room and informed him that the princess would arrive soon. However, Zi Chuan Xiu felt that it was already too late to find the princess, so she quietly pretended to be the princess herself.
When Mu Qi went up to call the princess, he wanted to investigate the truth. Lu Di also realized that the person in front of him was not the real princess. Ge Ying Xing knew that the princess had gone missing, but at this critical moment, he could only bribe Mu Qi to help him deceive others. He promised to find Princess Ka Dan within three days. Ka Dun, believing that Ka Dan was critically injured and possibly dead, instructed his subordinates to make sure they see the body.
Yang Ming Hua wanted to eliminate Ge Ying Xing. Zi Chuan Xiu arrived and saw Yang Ming Hua trying to sneak away. She was stopped by Yang Ming Hua, who wanted to test Di Lin's true feelings in front of Zi Chuan Xiu.
Yang Ming Hua asked Zi Chuan Xiu to draw a pattern of a weapon, and Zi Chuan Xiu and Di Lin pretended to have a disagreement in front of Yang Ming Hua. Zi Chuan Xiu also noticed that Yang Ming Hua didn't actually trust her older brother, Di Lin.
Ka Dan watched as Stalin went to great lengths to protect her and developed some feelings for him. However, Stalin refused Ka Dan's offer to help with his wounds. While treating his injuries in the distance, he collapsed on the ground. Ka Dan, hearing the sound, rushed over in panic. Yang Ming Hua wanted to confirm the whereabouts of the people he was concerned about before implementing his plan.
