Episode 18 recap: The crown prince and crown princess consort have a tacit understanding.
Tsukimi originally thought that her younger brother had long been dead, but she didn't expect that he had been saved by the prince a long time ago and had been by her side all along. Tsukimi recalled their childhood when they had no food to eat and had to secretly steal steamed buns from the market. Tsukimi gave the larger one to her brother, but he insisted on giving it to Tsukimi. Tsukimi was devastated when she saw her brother pass away.
Such a young girl has to endure so much pain. Tsukimi looked at the silent prince and called out her brother's name from their childhood. The prince now started threatening Tsukimi with Silent's life and demanded her to bring out the golden seal. Tsukimi took the opportunity to try to save her brother but ended up being restrained by her aunt. The prince obtained the box and opened it, only to find that the golden seal was not inside.
In that case, the prince took Silent away and informed Tsukimi that if she wanted to save her brother, she had to use the golden seal as an exchange. At this moment, the crown prince had already arrived with his men. Tsukimi was currently being held by her aunt and was still in her grasp. Helpless, she could only obey her aunt's orders and ask the subordinates to leave. Tsukimi told the crown prince not to worry about her, as she was originally an assassin from the Broken Star Valley, and her goal was to kill the crown prince.
The crown prince also told Tsukimi that he had known her identity since their wedding day, so even if she deceived him, it didn't matter. Tsukimi urged the crown prince to leave quickly, but he was unwilling. In the end, her aunt made a deal with him, offering her own life in exchange for Tsukimi's. The crown prince agreed. For safety reasons, her aunt made the crown prince disable his own hand to prevent him from having any room for resistance. Despite Tsukimi's desperate attempts to stop him, the crown prince destroyed his right hand. Her aunt then instructed the crown prince to come alone.
After three commands, Tsukimi and the crown prince exchanged glances and acted in perfect harmony. Tsukimi used a hidden weapon to kill her aunt.
