Episode 5 recap: Revealing one's identity.

The Second Prince asked Yuejian why she joined the Broken Star Valley. Yuejian explained that it was because she couldn't afford to eat and she didn't want to die, but the Second Prince didn't believe her at all. Yuejian argued that he was not good at judging people. She confessed that she was very afraid of rain and thunder, but her aunt had trained them in the harshest way possible and told them that rainy days were deadly.

Soon, Yuejian fell asleep, and the Second Prince stayed by her side, getting close to her. In her drowsiness, Yuejian embraced the Second Prince, and their eyes met. However, the Second Prince realized it was almost dawn and urged her to return quickly. Yuejian observed that the color of the Second Prince's eyes, blue, seemed to have lasted more than two hours, and she believed he was genuine.

Little did Yuejian know that as soon as she left, the Second Prince called Du Bin, who was hiding in the water. Unbeknownst to her, the Second Prince was actually the Crown Prince in disguise, and he forcefully controlled the effects of a drug using his internal energy. This would eventually lead to trouble. The Prince's eyes were already bleeding, but fortunately, his high internal energy prevented any major harm. He looked at the Moonflower in his hand and knew that the only place where this kind of flower could grow was the Solitary Moon Mountain.

The Crown Prince, disguised as the Second Prince, successfully revealed a hidden line and Du Bin prepared to investigate promptly. The Crown Prince remembered that he, too, disliked rainy days, and his younger brother had been considered an ill omen simply because his eyes were different. The Crown Prince felt great concern for his brother. With everything ready, the Crown Prince wanted to test Duke Yin Guo and see if he was behind the Broken Star Valley. This time, he must completely eradicate the Broken Star Valley.

As usual, the Crown Prince had a meal with Yuejian and mentioned that they would visit his parents, Duke Yin Guo, and his entourage today. This startled Yuejian, causing her to choke on her soup. She had initially planned to find an excuse to go back and change clothes, but the Crown Prince didn't give her a chance at all. The two of them pretended to be an affectionate couple and set off together. Along the way, both of them harbored suspicions. Yuejian used the opportunity to pretend to eat a plum and discreetly transmitted the message.

During the journey, they encountered rain. A child was being punished by adults for stealing, and Yuejian quickly got off the carriage and intervened. She pawned her hairpin to the adults, who scolded the child. Yuejian was determined to make them apologize to the child, but they stubbornly refused. At that moment, the Crown Prince appeared, and upon seeing him, the adults quickly apologized.
