Episode 5 recap: Moon View's identity has been exposed.
The Second Prince asked Moon View why she joined the Fragmented Star Valley, and Moon View explained that it was because she couldn't have enough to eat and didn't want to die. However, the Second Prince didn't believe her at all. Moon View said that he misjudges people. She also mentioned that she is afraid of rain and thunder, but her aunt trained them in the harshest way possible and told them that rainy days can kill people.
Soon, Moon View fell asleep, and the Second Prince stayed by her side. He got close to Moon View, and in her half-awake state, she embraced the Second Prince. They locked eyes, but the Second Prince mentioned that it was getting light outside and told her to go back quickly. Moon View noticed that the color of the Second Prince's eyes was still blue, which meant that it should have been more than two hours. She believed that the Second Prince was genuine.
Little did she know that as soon as Moon View left, the Second Prince called Du Bin, who was hiding in the water. Unbeknownst to her, the Second Prince was actually the Crown Prince in disguise, and he used his internal energy to forcibly control the effects of the medicine. This would inevitably lead to trouble. The Prince's eyes were bleeding, but fortunately, his high internal energy protected him, and there was no serious harm. He looked at the Moon View flowers in his hand and knew that the only place where this kind of flower could grow was the Solitary Moon Mountain.
The Crown Prince successfully discovered the secret lines by pretending to be the Second Prince, and Du Bin was ready to investigate quickly. The Crown Prince recalled that he also disliked rainy days, and his younger brother was considered an ill omen simply because of the difference in eye color. He felt great concern for his brother. With everything ready, the Crown Prince planned to test Duke Yin Guo to see if he was the mastermind behind the Fragmented Star Valley. This time, he must completely eradicate the Fragmented Star Valley.
As usual, the Crown Prince had a meal with Moon View and mentioned that today they would visit his parents and the group of Duke Yin Guo. This frightened Moon View, and she even choked on her soup. She originally wanted to find an excuse to go back and change clothes, but the Crown Prince didn't give her a chance at all. The two of them pretended to be a loving couple and set off together. Both of them had hidden intentions in their hearts. During the journey, Moon View used the opportunity to pretend to eat a plum and spat out the pit, secretly spreading the message.
On the way, they encountered rain. A child was being punished by an adult for stealing, and Moon View quickly got off the carriage to intervene. She pawned her hairpin to the other person, who then scolded the child. Moon View was not satisfied and wanted the person to apologize to the child, but the person persisted. At that moment, the Crown Prince appeared, and the person quickly apologized upon seeing him.
