Episode 11 recap: Gu Xun bought medicine for Yue Qian Ling.
Gu Xun was worried about Yue Qian Ling. Using the excuse of a night run, he waited downstairs until three in the morning, finally managing to catch her when she returned. He heard her dejectedly expressing over the phone that she had no inspiration and working late was futile. He kept this in mind and, after returning home, he, as the school heartthrob, drew Yue Qian Ling's attention to the result of a competition, subtly hinting that his name was mentioned. He wanted Yue Qian Ling to consider his opinion, so he recommended a book for her to read.
It seemed like Gu Xun had foreseen Yue Qian Ling's actions. After Yue Qian Ling finally found the elusive book, Gu Xun took all the books away, infuriating her. In the struggle to regain the books, they accidentally collided, but Gu Xun refused to give the books back, even though there were clearly two copies. He insisted on buying all of them. Annoyed, Yue Qian Ling asked Gu Xun if he was deliberately opposing her. Gu Xun suggested that Yue Qian Ling drive him in exchange for the books.
Although Yue Qian Ling had a driver's license, her driving skills were lacking. When she tried to use the turn signal, she accidentally sprayed windshield washer fluid. Gu Xun was terrified and regretted asking Yue Qian Ling to drive. Yue Qian Ling drove slowly on the road, while other cars honked at her and she shouted at them to maintain a safe distance, leaving Gu Xun embarrassed and shrinking in his seat. He suggested pulling over and letting him drive, but Yue Qian Ling ignored him completely. She not only disregarded his instructions but also silenced him. Gu Xun had no choice but to entrust his life to Yue Qian Ling. Fortunately, they arrived home safely, and Yue Qian Ling finally obtained the book she wanted. Her artwork had improved, and she had a preliminary grasp of drawing people, but it still didn't meet the standard of "Falling Stars."
Yue Qian Ling still worked in another department, and often her schedule clashed with the Ninth Division's. Gu Xun saw that she was being neglected by "Falling Stars," so he helped resolve the situation. Together with Wei Han, they arranged all of Yue Qian Ling's work in the other department for the morning, allowing her to work in the Ninth Division in the afternoons.
Wei Han had seen Yue Qian Ling's new artwork and thought that her depictions of weapons were not ideal. He understood Yue Qian Ling's dilemma, as she had considered several options but found flaws in each of them. Li Han suggested that Yue Qian Ling attend a lecture on cold weapons by Professor Wang Linzhi. However, getting tickets for this lecture was difficult, and Yue Qian Ling had no luck obtaining them.
Originally, Wang Linzhi wanted Gu Xun to consider pursuing a master's degree under his supervision. However, Gu Xun had his sights set on a 3A game and declined Wang Linzhi's offer. When Gu Xun learned that Yue Qian Ling wanted tickets, he shamelessly approached Wang Linzhi and managed to secure them. However, he didn't expect Su Zheng to also be there, and Su Zheng encountered Yue Qian Ling before him. Learning that Yue Qian Ling didn't have a ticket, Su Zheng sought help from acquaintances and managed to bring Yue Qian Ling inside.
Yue Qian Ling had previously tried to sneak into the lecture but was caught by the staff at the entrance. When she saw Gu Xun, she thought he didn't want her to enter. However, when she found out that Su Zheng could help, she happily pulled Su Zheng along with her, which made Gu Xun feel like he was shooting himself in the foot.
Yue Qian Ling was surprised to find herself in a good seat after entering and specially thanked Su Zheng. However, Su Zheng knew that his connections couldn't arrange such good seats. Gu Xun, who was on the second floor, saw the interaction between Yue Qian Ling and Su Zheng and thought to himself that Yue Qian Ling was thanking the wrong person. Wang Linzhi wanted to know Yue Qian Ling's identity, and Gu Xun said they were colleagues, but Wang Linzhi was certain that Gu Xun wouldn't come to him for the sake of a colleague.
Gu Xun waited for Yue Qian Ling to finish the lecture, and by that time, it was raining heavily. Gu Xun offered to drive Yue Qian Ling home, but unexpectedly, Su Zheng also had a car to take her. Yue Qian Ling immediately followed Su Zheng, leaving Gu Xun helpless and heartbroken. That night, Gu Xun assigned a bunch of work to the idle Su Zheng.
Yue Qian Ling caught a cold and fever and had to buy medicine herself, but due to a shortage of medications, the delivery never arrived. While messaging with the school heartthrob, Yue Qian Ling mentioned this, and Gu Xun immediately went out in the rain to buy medicine. When he returned, Yue Qian Ling happened to bring back the wrong food delivery for him. He hastily hid the medicine behind his back, but Yue Qian Ling noticed something was off and insisted on taking a closer look. In a state of panic, Gu Xun hugged her, and Yue Qian Ling, feeling shy, quickly retreated to her room.
In order to give the medicine to Yue Qian Ling, Gu Xun went to her place and borrowed a hairdryer. He then mentioned that he had some commonly used medicine at his house and asked Yue Qian Ling to come with him to get it. As a result, Yue Qian Ling not only discovered the cold weapons lecture ticket he had hidden between the books but also realized that the medicine he had just bought was for her. Combining this with the private messages she sent to the school heartthrob about her fever, she suspected that Gu Xun was the school heartthrob.
Yue Qian Ling saw the school heartthrob playing games online and deliberately sent a voice message to test him. Coincidentally, Gu Xun's account was being used by someone else, so Yue Qian Ling thought she had misunderstood. Although she couldn't help but continue to test him, Gu Xun had already prepared another account, and Yue Qian Ling couldn't uncover the truth.
