Episode 13 recap: Yue Qian Ling successfully collaborated with Gu Xun and signed a contract with Ling Yu.
Yue Qian Ling learned that Chen Xin Yi had nowhere to stay, so she let Chen Xin Yi move into her own house. Gu Xun was unaware of this and went to buy bubble tea, which took him two hours to get. He pretended that it was a buy-one-get-one-free deal for Yue Qian Ling and offered two cups. Yue Qian Ling reminded Gu Xun that he should give one cup to Chen Xin Yi. Gu Xun reluctantly handed over both cups. Chen Xin Yi noticed a special mark on the bubble tea cups and suspected that something was going on between Gu Xun and Yue Qian Ling. However, Yue Qian Ling refused to explain and went off to take a shower.
Gu Xun collected some information about collaborations with celebrity portraits and stored it on a USB drive, which he handed over to Yue Qian Ling. Yue Qian Ling discovered that it was password-protected and asked Gu Xun for the password. Gu Xun refused to give the password and instead asked Yue Qian Ling if she forgave him. This angered her, and she shouted in frustration, startling Chen Xin Yi awake. Suppressing her anger, Yue Qian Ling deciphered the password herself and found out that it was "forgiven." This infuriated her, but she managed to calm down. She then collected some information about Ling Yu and encrypted it on the USB drive before giving it to Gu Xun.
Gu Xun happily entered the password as "forgiven," but Yue Qian Ling had a different trick in mind. Finally, Gu Xun managed to crack the password by entering "dad" twice, leaving him both amused and frustrated. Chen Xin Yi was always very tidy, so she was shocked to see Yue Qian Ling's messy room. When she opened the closet, a bunch of clothes fell out. Chen Xin Yi quickly tidied up and found a sketch hidden in the closet. She recognized the person in the sketch as Gu Xun and realized that something was going on between Yue Qian Ling and Gu Xun, which made her chuckle.
Early in the morning, Jiang Jun Nan called Gu Xun. Gu Xun learned that the collaboration with Ling Yu had changed, and Jiang Yi Shi was also interested in Ling Yu. Gu Xun immediately got up, packed his things, and knocked on Yue Qian Ling's door, asking her to accompany him on a business trip to Beijing. Yue Qian Ling initially didn't want to go, but when she heard that the collaboration with Ling Yu might be in jeopardy, she quickly prepared herself. She thought that, given her and Gu Xun's status, they would surely not be sitting in the same cabin. However, Chen Xin Yi, who knew that Yue Qian Ling had feelings for Gu Xun, secretly upgraded her to a business class seat.
Gu Xun instructed Yue Qian Ling to think more about the highlights of Ling Yu so that it would be beneficial for their communication later. He knew that only he, Jiang Jun Nan, and Yue Qian Ling were aware of the collaboration with Ling Yu. If Jiang Yi Shi received the news, it meant that something went wrong on Yue Qian Ling's side. To prevent the situation from escalating and affecting Yue Qian Ling, Gu Xun decided to handle it discreetly.
Jiang Yi Shi was pleased with himself for taking the initiative. His subordinates believed that he was cutting off the Ninth Division's path, but he believed that having an inheritor like Ling Yu endorse the game he developed would definitely bring positive energy.
Yue Qian Ling learned that Ling Yu was working as a bartender at night to make a living. She felt that Ling Yu was a perfect fit for the role of Lin Zhi in "The Sword's Path" and immediately drew a sketch.
When Gu Xun and Yue Qian Ling arrived, Ling Yu was busy. Upon learning their purpose, she candidly stated that Jiang Yi Shi had already approached her and offered better conditions. Yue Qian Ling noticed that Ling Yu's assistant was injured and needed someone to practice Tai Chi with. She immediately pushed Gu Xun forward. Gu Xun noticed that Ling Yu had a mini firearm hanging on her water cup, indicating that she was a fan of shooting games. He decided to team up with her to win a competition and finally gained the opportunity to introduce their project to Ling Yu. They ultimately received a collaboration notice from Ling Yu, which filled Yue Qian Ling with joy. Overwhelmed by excitement, she hugged Gu Xun to share her happiness but quickly realized it was inappropriate and separated from him.
To make Yue Qian Ling happy, Gu Xun waited in line for an hour to buy her favorite bread. He asked her what kind of gift girls like, and Yue Qian Ling thought he was asking for a gift for Ling Yu. She chose a gaming keyboard, which was quite expensive, but no female gamer could resist it.
As soon as Gu Xun and Yue Qian Ling returned home, someone delivered the keyboard. Gu Xun gave one to Yue Qian Ling, claiming it was a reward. She was thrilled and couldn't stop playing with it. Chen Xin Yi knew the keyboard was expensive and learned that Gu Xun bought it specifically for Yue Qian Ling, so she secretly asked Gu Xun to reimburse her expenses for the day. However, Gu Xun didn't report the expenses, so Chen Xin Yi realized that Gu Xun bought it for Yue Qian Ling on purpose.
Jiang Yi Shi failed to secure project funding, which frustrated him. He started causing trouble for Yue Qian Ling, both openly and covertly, trying to divert her attention away from the Ninth Division. Huang Jie, upon learning about this, advised Yue Qian Ling to be more reserved and not get too close to the Ninth Division. Unexpectedly, Gu Xun invited her to participate in a live-action CS game, and they were caught by Jiang Yi Shi.
