Episode 15 recap: Gu Xun is a tracking enthusiast.
Yue Qian Ling was preparing to go to work when Tang Xin suddenly appeared and offered to give Yue Qian Ling a ride. At the same time, he proposed that Yue Qian Ling accompany him as his partner to a friend's wedding. Upon hearing this, Gu Xun immediately volunteered to take Yue Qian Ling to work as her boyfriend. During the self-introductions between Gu Xun and Tang Xin, Gu Xun claimed to be Yue Qian Ling's superior. Tang Xin immediately made insinuations in a sarcastic manner, suggesting that Gu Xun became Yue Qian Ling's boyfriend through unfair means. The two began to vie for the opportunity to accompany Yue Qian Ling to work.
Taking advantage of the sympathy Yue Qian Ling felt towards his myocarditis, Tang Xin claimed that he wanted to go to the hospital for a check-up. While Yue Qian Ling was not paying attention, Tang Xin secretly pushed Gu Xun. Gu Xun went to complain, but Yue Qian Ling didn't believe him at all, which made Gu Xun feel very aggrieved and frustrated.
Just as Yue Qian Ling arrived at the company, she received a call from Tang Xin, who informed her that he had custom-made clothes for her. Yue Qian Ling instinctively refused, but Tang Xin insisted on having them delivered to the company. Yue Qian Ling felt helpless. Huang Jie noticed that the clothes were sent by someone Yue Qian Ling disliked and advised her to clarify things early. Yue Qian Ling decided to meet Tang Xin at the restaurant downstairs from the company for lunch.
Gu Xun noticed that Yue Qian Ling was not with Huang Jie but had arranged to meet someone at the restaurant. He hurried down and happened to see that the dishes in front of Yue Qian Ling were very light and not what she liked to eat. He pushed those dishes aside and ordered coriander for Yue Qian Ling.
Yue Qian Ling was at a loss as to how to reject Tang Xin. Seeing the situation, she and Gu Xun pretended to be a loving couple. While Yue Qian Ling was away answering a phone call, Gu Xun transferred the money for the clothes to Tang Xin. Then he deliberately spilled the dishes on the clothes, staining them, and pulled Yue Qian Ling away under the pretext of taking them for dry cleaning. This made Tang Xin furious.
Gu Xun held onto Yue Qian Ling's hand all the way and didn't let go even when they were far away. Yue Qian Ling told him to stop acting since Tang Xin couldn't see them anymore. She also offered to pay Gu Xun the money, but he refused to accept it. Yue Qian Ling didn't say anything but was secretly happy about it.
That evening, Yue Qian Ling discovered a power outage at home and called Gu Xun. However, Gu Xun was busy helping the property restore the surveillance system and didn't hear the call. Tang Xin appeared at this critical moment and, after determining the cause of the power outage, helped Yue Qian Ling find someone to fix it. When he and Yue Qian Ling argued over who would pay, Gu Xun saw a missed call and immediately rushed back to pay as her boyfriend.
Tang Xin realized that Gu Xun and Yue Qian Ling were not very close and told Gu Xun to stop pretending. But Gu Xun's feelings for Yue Qian Ling were genuine, and he believed that things would only get better. He asked Tang Xin to stop pursuing Yue Qian Ling.
Gu Xun recognized the security guard's shoes downstairs in the residential area and unexpectedly encountered a security guard wearing all-black attire and a cap observing the building where he lived. This raised his suspicions, so he staged a play with Yue Qian Ling to make the security guard believe he was going on a business trip. For safety reasons, Yue Qian Ling would stay at his place, and he intentionally leaked the password during a phone call while pretending to register.
The security guard thought Gu Xun was really going on a business trip and sneaked into Gu Xun's home at night. However, Gu Xun, who had already set up an ambush, captured him immediately. Angry at the scare she had endured, Yue Qian Ling rushed forward to hit the intruder, but Gu Xun reminded her to step on his foot and advised her not to act impulsively but to call the police first.
Impressed by Gu Xun's quick solving of the case, the police praised him and jokingly asked if he wouldn't break up with his girlfriend this time. Yue Qian Ling, feeling embarrassed, nodded in response. When Gu Xun was escorting Yue Qian Ling home, Yue Qian Ling's mother called him. Seeing the caller ID labeled "Mother-in-law," Yue Qian Ling widened her eyes in shock. Just as she was curious about who her mother-in-law could be, she realized it was her own mother. Her mother quickly hung up upon hearing Yue Qian Ling's voice, stating that she didn't want to disturb them. Yue Qian Ling was speechless, but Gu Xun was very happy about it.
Jiang Junnan and Feng Ruru were together, and everyone gathered to play a game of Truth or Dare. When Su Zheng learned that Yue Qian Ling was present, he went from room to room searching for her to join the game. Gu Xun noticed that Su Zheng had feelings for Yue Qian Ling and competed with him in the game. Unexpectedly, Gu Xun discovered that Su Zheng was skilled at cooking. Yue Qian Ling remarked that anyone who becomes Su Zheng's girlfriend would be very lucky, which heightened Gu Xun's sense of crisis. After finally winning the game, Gu Xun was surprised to find out that the loser had to make a phone call to the person they liked. Su Zheng mustered up the courage to make the call and Gu Xun immediately found a way to stop him, sensing that he would call Yue Qian Ling.
Chen Xin Yi, who had been secretly in love with Jiang Junnan, ended her infatuation as he got together with Feng Ruru. She drank sorrowfully, and Yue Qian Ling advised her to focus on her career and regain her confidence. Although Chen Xin Yi thought that Gu Xun might like her, she quickly denied it herself.
