Episode 6 recap: Yue Qian Ling confessed her feelings to Gu Xun.
Yue Qian Ling was unhappy with her job, so she vented her frustration in a game, firmly believing that she could defeat another team in the game arcade. She and Yin Xue played and cursed together as a team. When Gu Xun heard a familiar voice, he looked up and realized that it was Yue Qian Ling on the other side. When Jiang Junnan listened to Yue Qian Ling speak, he felt that she resembled someone, but he couldn't immediately figure out who it was.
Gu Xun initially wanted to invite Yue Qian Ling to play another round, but she found it boring and pulled Yin Xue away. Gu Xun recalled the way Xiaomahua spoke and noticed the striking similarity with the revealed Yue Qian Ling, so he started to suspect that Yue Qian Ling was Xiaomahua. He decided to test it out and proactively challenged Xiaomahua to a one-on-one battle. Seeing that Xiaomahua was in a bad mood, he intentionally let her win. However, Yue Qian Ling felt insulted by this and didn't want to interact with him. She shared the incident with Yin Xue, who analyzed that Gu Xun liked Yue Qian Ling. At work, Yue Qian Ling saw a colleague playing a game and thought he was terrible. She took the initiative to help him, and coincidentally, Gu Xun passed by and witnessed this scene. He recalled how Yue Qian Ling had previously deceived him by saying she only liked playing cute pet games. He intentionally checked her account and discovered that she was not Xiaomahua at all. One day, while seeing Yin Xue eating noodles, Yue Qian Ling suddenly had the idea to bring late-night snacks to Gu Xun. She thought it would give her more opportunities. When she happily arrived at the company with the snacks, she saw another girl giving Gu Xun late-night snacks. Not only did Gu Xun refuse, but he also mentioned that he already had a girlfriend.
Yue Qian Ling indeed liked Gu Xun, but she had her principles and would never try to break up a relationship. She immediately felt dejected, grabbed the late-night snacks, and left. On her way, she encountered a loving couple, which hit a sore spot and caused her eyes to turn red. Back in her dormitory, unable to hold back her tears any longer, she lay on her bed feeling heartbroken. Yin Xue saw this and quickly comforted Yue Qian Ling.
From that day on, Yue Qian Ling was gloomy and melancholic. She only focused on her work every day. One day, Huang Jie told Yue Qian Ling that the company was organizing a team-building activity and employees could bring their family members. Yue Qian Ling didn't want to go because she knew Gu Xun had a girlfriend. She found an excuse of being busy with graduation soon, but Gu Xun and Jiang Junnan from the Ninth Business Unit, both of whom were also about to graduate, decided to attend the team-building activity. Yue Qian Ling realized that if she didn't go, she would definitely be bothered by Jiang Yishi, so she reluctantly agreed.
Yue Qian Ling had dinner with Jiang Junnan and discovered from him that Gu Xun didn't have a girlfriend. She was excited to hear this because she believed Gu Xun's claim of having a girlfriend was just a way to discourage other girls. Yue Qian Ling specifically kept her eyes on the guy with the golden mask until the end of the game. The host asked both of them to come on stage and remove their masks, and it was then that Yue Qian Ling realized she had mistaken the person. He wasn't Gu Xun at all, and she felt deeply disappointed. To make matters worse, everyone started teasing them to kiss for thirty seconds. Yue Qian Ling quickly sought help from the host and refused such intimate contact. The host changed the task to a nose touch instead, and the guy was eager to try it. However, Yue Qian Ling couldn't accept it and kept stepping back. Gu Xun noticed this and stepped in, taking the guy's place and resolving the awkward situation. Yue Qian Ling couldn't help but develop stronger feelings for Gu Xun and looked at him with shining eyes.
Huang Jie brought alcoholic drinks for the team-building activity and complained to Yue Qian Ling that they hadn't had a chance to drink yet, while the people from the Ninth Department were already having a great time. As everyone got drunk, Yue Qian Ling heard this news and quickly took the drinks from Huang Jie's hands and went out to find Gu Xun. One of Gu Xun's colleagues, under the influence of alcohol, tried to confess his feelings to Yue Qian Ling, but Gu Xun pushed him away. Yue Qian Ling looked at Gu Xun, who was getting closer to her, and her heart started beating faster. Unexpectedly, Gu Xun passed out on the ground.
Yue Qian Ling watched Gu Xun lying defenseless in front of her and had the strong desire to kiss him, but she felt it would be shameless to do so. In the end, she resisted the temptation and helped Gu Xun back to his room before finding Jiang Junnan. The next day, when Gu Xun woke up, he learned from Yue Qian Ling that she was the one who brought him back, but he had no recollection of it and just rubbed his head.
Yue Qian Ling went online to play games with the school heartthrob and revealed her proximity to her crush. Encouraged by her friends, Yue Qian Ling mustered the courage to confess her long-standing feelings to Gu Xun.
