Also present and overhearing the conversation between Qiyun and Mingyu was Ye Shao. Ye Shao asked her what she was hiding from him, and Mingyu told Ye Shao about being a modern person. However, Ye Shao didn't believe her. He pleaded with Mingyu not to leave him, and Mingyu finally made up her mind to stay. She decided not to leave and wanted to stay with Ye Shao to enjoy good food and their own world together.
The Crown Prince had gone crazy, and the Third Princess came to persuade him to stop his madness. However, the Crown Prince still delusionally imagined himself as the Emperor, giving orders and commands. In the remaining days, Ye Shao and Mingyu were inseparable. They leaned on each other, cherishing every moment they spent together, deeply in love. After three days, Ye Shao carried Mingyu to the city tower. Mingyu was barely conscious, leaning in Ye Shao's arms. She commanded the guard Ye to listen to her one last time. She was tired and wanted to sleep, but only if he protected her would she be at ease.
Ye Shao tearfully agreed. Mingyu closed her eyes in Ye Shao's embrace. Ye Shao held Mingyu and, following Qiyun's words, released her from the tower and sent her downstairs.
