Episode 4 recap: Li Mengjue vs. Xie Jingshu
Li Mengjue sneaked into the Liu Mansion quietly at night and discovered something strange during his investigation. There was a marker with the image of a sprig of mugwort next to it. As soon as Li Mengjue returned with the Haibo Map, he noticed someone sitting inside the room.
The owner of the Huachao Tower felt that some people did not abide by the rules of the martial arts world. Matters in the martial arts world should be handled according to its rules. Li Mengjue wanted to use the Haibo Map to inquire about the information regarding the mugwort in the Snow Mountain. Li Mengjue was curious why this person didn't look at the drawing, only to be informed that the Haibo Map was a fake.
Bai Rui came out after Li Mengjue left, holding the Haibo Map in her hand. Xie Jingshu met Li Mengjue, and the two of them joined forces against their enemies. Li Mengjue discovered that it was the Xie Family's Sui Ming Men, and he didn't want Xie Jingshu to get involved. Xie Jingshu even kicked Li Mengjue. Li Mengjue was also not unscathed. Both of them swore to get back at the person who harmed them when they encountered them in the future.
Jing Yan couldn't understand why Bai Rui wanted the Haibo Map, and Xie Jingshu couldn't figure it out either. Jing Yan was afraid of the person who injured Xie Jingshu and was forced to go by Xie Jingshu's threat. Xie Jingshu felt that Jing Yan's act was a bit excessive. Jing Yan was delighted that Xie Jingshu was injured like this, but she couldn't explain it to her sister-in-law when she returned home. Jing Yan went to find Li Mengjue and informed her that Xie Jingshu's old illness had relapsed. Li Mengjue told Lu Xi'er that they had to continue acting out this play.
Li Mengjue watched as Xie Jingshu pretended to sleep, expecting her to serve him here for no reason, which made him really uncomfortable. Xie Jingshu told Li Mengjue that he was physically weak and that everything was okay. Jing Yan was there to cover for Xie Jingshu. She also mentioned that Xie Jingshu had erectile dysfunction, feeling a bit embarrassed. When Li Mengjue was about to leave, Xie Jingshu stopped her, and Li Mengjue knew that it couldn't be anything good.
