Episode 1 recap: Wu Geng assists Xin Wang in waging war against the Protoss.

In ancient times, the ancient Protoss resided in the mysterious and desolate realm, possessing innate powerful spiritual energy. Among them, Hei Long was a spirit dragon born alongside chaos, known for his violent nature and immense strength. The ruler of the Protoss, Gen Gu, feared Hei Long's power and sought to eliminate him. Hei Long engaged in a hundred-day battle with Gen Gu, ultimately resulting in the death of Gen Gu and all the ancient Protoss.

During this great war, Hei Long's lover, Bai Long, perished, causing Hei Long to experience immense sorrow and anger. To rule over the Three Realms, Hei Long proclaimed himself the Protoss King and sealed the realm of mystery as the Protoss domain, creating a new Protoss race. In the following hundred thousand years, the demonic race was sealed underground by Hei Long, plunged into eternal darkness, enduring the suffering of petrification from generation to generation. Additionally, some dissatisfied Protoss individuals separated from the Protoss domain and established the Hidden Protoss, living secluded lives in the human realm.

The Sea Spirit race became enslaved by the Protoss, serving as permanent guardians of the Protoss domain's seas. The human race, on the other hand, was ordered by Hei Long to mine Bloodstone for the Protoss, enduring brutal abuse and oppression. Under Hei Long's rule, the three races suffered greatly, with devastation and sorrow spreading across the Three Realms.

After a hundred thousand years, the divine envoy Xuan Cha arrived to deliver a divine message to Xin Wang, urging him to send ten times the manpower to the North Mountain mining site to extract Bloodstone. Meanwhile, Xin Wang, unable to tolerate the oppression of the Protoss and concerned for the welfare of the people, outright refused. Unexpectedly, the divine envoy commanded Xin Wang to attack the country of Kuai and subjugate its people as slaves.

In defiance, Xin Wang set fire to the Protoss decree, refusing to endure any further mistreatment from the Protoss. Enraged, the divine envoy attempted to punish the Xin clan, but Wu Geng, the prince of the Xin clan, directly intervened and killed the divine beast brought by the envoy. Using this as a pretext, the Protoss launched a massive attack on the Xin Kingdom, resulting in heavy casualties among the Xin soldiers.

General Mo, dissatisfied with Xin Wang's declaration of war against the Protoss, sought to assassinate Xin Wang in order to appease the anger of the Protoss. Xin Wang persuaded General Mo to fight against the Protoss for the sake of the Xin Kingdom's people, but General Mo remained obstinate and was ultimately killed in front of Xin Wang.

Wu Geng volunteered to join the battle and kill the enemy, but Xin Wang refused and instead assigned him the task of receiving and taking care of the refugees, responsible for their well-being. Xin Wang told Wu Geng that although his father had told him that the human race was born to serve the Protoss, he believed that one's destiny was in one's own hands, and he resisted the Protoss because he did not want to accept their dominance.

The next day, a girl named Bai Cai arrived in the city with her slave, Ah Gou, to sell medicinal herbs. However, they were trampled by the townspeople who were scrambling for food, causing the medicinal herbs to be ruined.

The herbal shop only offered a low price to purchase the herbs in Bai Cai's hands. Seeing the wound on Ah Gou's hand from being trampled, Bai Cai reluctantly sold the herbs at a low price. Bai Cai treated Ah Gou's wound and then took him to buy food. However, the owner of the food store took advantage of the chaos of war and raised the prices. Bai Cai's silver coins could only buy half a bag of grain. Wu Geng and his men arrived to inspect the food market, and Bai Cai unexpectedly noticed that the prince bore a resemblance to Ah Gou.

Taking advantage of the prince's presence, Bai Cai deliberately praised the food store owner in public, claiming that they were a generous person who sold a bag of grain for only one shell. Unable to deny in front of Wu Geng, the food store owner reluctantly sold the grain at a low price. After buying four bags of grain, Bai Cai prepared to leave with Ah Gou. However, the food store sent people to intercept them and take back the grain. A scuffle broke out between the two sides, and Wu Geng, who was on patrol, noticed the commotion. The food store accused Bai Cai of using fake shells to buy the grain, while Bai Cai accused the food store of price gouging. Wu Geng ordered them to be taken back for interrogation. Taking advantage of the situation, Ah Gou pushed away the official and left with Bai Cai, who assured him and took the grain home, using the opportunity to distract Wu Geng.

Wu Geng had already caught Bai Cai and intended to bring her back for investigation when he received a message from his mother and had to return to the palace promptly. Wu Geng's mother, Heart's Moon Fox, told her son that he couldn't defeat the enemy alone. Besides having a clever mind and unwavering courage, he needed a kind heart that loved the world and the people.

Only by learning to love the people would they stand by his side and fight together to protect the Xin Kingdom. Wu Geng couldn't understand why his mother was telling him these things, but Heart's Moon Fox didn't offer any further explanation. Xin Wang, for the sake of the people and Wu Geng, decided to personally join the battle. Heart's Moon Fox, despite her worries, was not afraid of the hardships that lay ahead, but she couldn't help but worry about her son, Wu Geng.

Wu Geng uncovered the truth about the food store owner's price gouging and ordered them to be publicly executed. Meanwhile, the Protoss army advanced to the gates of the Xin Kingdom, and Zhou Fa and Zhou Qiao, under the command of the Protoss, breached the Xin Kingdom. Xin Wang led his troops out of the city to fight, and Wu Geng wanted to follow his father into battle. However, Wu Geng believed that as the prince of the Xin Kingdom, it was his duty to stay in the city and fight. In the end, Xin Wang agreed to let Wu Geng go out and face the enemy.

Due to the chaos of war, Bai Cai and Ah Gou got unexpectedly separated.
