Episode 24 recap: Wu Geng successfully awakened Ten Xing.
Wu Geng discovered An Jiang Jun, who was besieged, and he intervened to save him. Zhou Qiao informed Gui Mu that Wu Geng and Bai Cai, who were slaves on the mining site in the past, had returned to the City of Chaos. Gui Mu knew that Bai Cai possessed ancient Protoss power and believed that by consuming Bai Cai, he could fully recover. Gui Mu instructed Zhou Qiao to immediately find out their whereabouts.
Wu Geng angrily berated Ten Xing for being selfish, foolish, weak, and responsible for the deaths of Ming Yue and the people of the King's City. Despite knowing that the true culprit was the Protoss tribe, Ten Xing did not dare to seek revenge and used death as an excuse for liberation. Wu Geng urged Ten Xing to use his own power to fight and fulfill his responsibilities.
Inspired by Wu Geng's words, Ten Xing successfully awakened and resolved to seek battle against the Protoss tribe. The Phoenix, since the death of Xin Wang, had been searching for the next body for rebirth through baptism by fire. It asked Ten Xing if he was willing to make a contract with it, to fight against the sinful Protoss. Ten Xing readily agreed and made a contract with the Phoenix.
Subsequently, Ten Xing decided to return to the King's City for its protection and promised Wu Geng that he would come promptly whenever needed. As a token of gratitude for Bai Cai's recent help, Against the Heavens specifically taught Bai Cai the demon clan's escape technique and encouraged Bai Cai to practice diligently.
Dancing with the Wind asked Bai Cai to apologize to A Lan on her behalf, acknowledging that her previous actions were her own mistakes. Although Bai Cai had complained about Dancing with the Wind before, she later understood that Dancing with the Wind had made the right choice as a member of the demon clan. Bai Cai told Dancing with the Wind that A Lan no longer blamed her.
Dancing with the Wind and Bai Cai confided in each other about their emotional problems. Dancing with the Wind understood why Against the Heavens didn't accept her, and she also envied Bai Cai and Wu Geng for being able to freely express their love for each other.
Wu Geng, Bai Cai, and A Lan decided to leave the demon clan. They bid farewell to everyone, and Against the Heavens entrusted the demon clan's voice transmission crystal to Wu Geng for future communication. After saying goodbye to the demon clan, Wu Geng, Bai Cai, and A Lan returned to the Xin Kingdom. Using the colorless realm Protoss power, Wu Geng isolated Xin Yue Kui's knowledge realm and took the opportunity to inform Xin Yue Kui that he was currently in the Xin Kingdom.
Wu Geng believed that Zhou Qiao was not as loyal to the Protoss tribe as he appeared to be. He wanted to find an opportunity to win Zhou Qiao over to join the fight against the Protoss. Bai Cai prepared to return to the Orphan Carriage to find the orphans from the past, while A Lan went to contact the hidden Protoss tribe, and Wu Geng set out to find a shipbuilder.
The whereabouts of several individuals were noticed by Zhou Qiao, who sent someone to track Bai Cai. On the way, Wu Geng discovered that An Jiang Jun was being besieged and intervened to save him. However, he unexpectedly found that An Jiang Jun had been mentally impaired due to the attack.
Wu Geng used Qi Refinement Technique to summon An Jiang Jun's consciousness and successfully restored his awareness. Bai Cai returned to the orphan village and reunited with the children they once relied on. At the same time, she learned from the children that the people no longer relied on grain for sustenance but instead ate a type of fruit to stave off hunger.
Gui Mu summoned Zhou Qiao from Chen Jing and revealed that the king's condition had worsened. Gui Mu hoped that Zhou Qiao would return to assume the governance of the kingdom. Zhou Qiao informed Gui Mu about the return of Wu Geng and Bai Cai to the Xin Kingdom, and Gui Mu instructed him to immediately investigate their whereabouts.
Wu Geng inquired about An Jiang Jun's experiences during these years. It turned out that after Wu Geng left, An Jiang Jun's location was exposed, and fearing for the safety of the children, he began to hide and evade. He couldn't find food in the city and later learned about the people consuming the Everlasting Fruit to alleviate hunger. When he was desperate, he also ate one, but he realized something was wrong when he became conscious again.
Wu Geng knew that this fruit would invade the mind and eventually prove fatal. Through An Jiang Jun, Wu Geng learned that rumors of cannibalism had also been circulating in the city in recent years, which led him to speculate about the situation. Zhou Qiao and his men besieged the orphan village, and he threatened Bai Cai by using the lives of the children. Bai Cai was outnumbered and in a critical moment, Xin Yue Kui intervened, taking Zhou Qiao away and warning him not to harm Bai Cai in the future.
It turned out that Xin Yue Kui knew that Bai Cai was the one who could kill Wu Geng. She was currently showing favor to Bai Cai and hoped that one day, she could use the relationship between Bai Cai, Wu Geng, and Ah Gou to have Bai Cai kill Wu Geng. An Jiang Jun was being attacked because he was mistaken for a cannibal, and Wu Geng initially wanted to take him away. However, he unexpectedly reunited with Shi Tou and Ah De. It turned out that Shi Tou and Ah De had become palace guards and wanted to have access to firsthand information in the palace so that they could help if needed.
In order to protect the injured children, Bai Cai was urged by the children to consume the Everlasting Fruit, claiming that it could heal wounds. Bai Cai was about to consume the Everlasting Fruit when Wu Geng arrived just in time to stop her. Wu Geng did not intend to leave this place with everyone; he wanted to wait for Zhou Qiao to arrive.
Bai Cai met with An Jiang Jun, Shi Tou, and Ah De, and everyone was thrilled to be reunited after a long separation.
