Episode 26 recap: Wu Geng wanted to be honest about his identity with Bai Cai.
Wu Geng gave Bai Cai the hairpin his mother had given him, hoping to convey his feelings to her. Fu Xi informed A Lan that Wu Geng's constellation, representing him, was in turmoil and suspected that Xin Yue Kui was attempting to change Wu Geng's destiny. Fu Xi advised A Lan to be cautious of the people around Wu Geng.
A Lan noticed that someone was using the Protoss power of the Empty Awareness Realm to interfere with Bai Cai's mind. She also remembered Fu Xi's instruction to kill Bai Cai if necessary. Bai Cai followed the message butterfly and found Wu Geng and A Lan in the outskirts. She told Wu Geng about the poisoning of the children and he realized that his alchemy skills were temporarily unable to cure them completely. The children had consumed too many Eternal Prosperity Fruits and the poisoning was severe.
Bai Cai comforted the children who longed for the Eternal Prosperity Fruits and went for a walk alone, filled with doubts. Xin Yue Kui appeared again by Bai Cai's side and told her that Wu Geng and Ah Gou were actually two different people, and who would care about Ah Gou's death anyway?
Xin Yue Kui noticed that her influence through the Empty Awareness Realm was gradually taking effect and she hoped that one day Bai Cai would obediently listen to her. Xin Yue Kui feared Wu Geng's colorless realm Protoss power, so she could only manipulate Bai Cai when she was alone.
A Lan, who was secretly tracking Bai Cai, noticed something unusual about her. She asked Bai Cai but didn't get an answer. A Lan hoped that Bai Cai would believe in Wu Geng. A Lan was distressed that Bai Cai was hiding something from her. Fu Xi reluctantly used the Protoss power to meet with A Lan and sensed that the constellation representing the Martial Protoss was shaking. He speculated that Xin Yue Kui was attempting to change Wu Geng's destiny and advised A Lan to be vigilant about the people around Wu Geng.
A Lan realized that someone was using the Protoss power of the Empty Awareness Realm to interfere with Bai Cai's mind. Fu Xi reminded A Lan to remember the instruction to kill Bai Cai if necessary and believed that Wu Geng and A Lan would surely fulfill their mission. At the same time, Xin Yue Kui sensed the abnormalities and discovered Fu Xi's suggestion to A Lan to kill Bai Cai if necessary.
Wu Geng found Bai Cai in the city and gave her the hairpin his mother had left for him as a token of his feelings. Bai Cai thanked Wu Geng. Gui Mu was pleased but then realized that the person standing in front of him, carrying Zhou Fa, was actually Wu Geng. Wu Geng interrogated Gui Mu about the Eternal Prosperity Tree, which turned out to be a humanoid form. Once someone consumed it, they had to keep eating it continuously. If they stopped or didn't obey orders, they would transform into the Eternal Prosperity Tree.

In a critical moment, Zi Yu arrived and assisted, successfully saving Bai Cai and the children.
Zi Yu instructed Wu Geng to pass on his alchemy skills to A Lan, and with the help of her divine power, they managed to save all the people in the city. Zhou Qiao imprisoned Gui Mu, who believed that given what happened with Zhou Qiao humiliating Xin Wang's body, Wu Geng would not spare him, and the Protoss would not spare him either.
Although the children were safe and Bai Cai finally let go of her worries, she also confirmed that the person in front of her was indeed Wu Geng, the prince of Xin Country, whom she had known as Ah Gou.
