Episode 32 recap: Bai Cai turned dark and killed Wu Geng.
Wu Geng learned that someone with the power of the crystal stone appeared in the city and killed many people. Some suspected it was Bai Cai's doing. Bai Cai attacked the Protoss Hidden Clan and harmed many familiar faces. Wu Geng wanted to awaken Bai Cai but ended up being pushed off a cliff by her.
Chirp secretly ran out to find Wu Geng and then led him through a secret passage to meet Chen Jing. Zhou Qiao witnessed someone using Protoss power to kill people in the capital city and noticed that this person's Protoss power was extremely similar to Bai Cai's. Bai Cai arrived in the city and saw someone disguised as herself committing murders. She wanted to intervene and save the people in the city but was also concerned that continuing to use Protoss power would make it impossible for her and Wu Geng to be together.
However, in the end, the kind-hearted Bai Cai decided to step in and save the people. It turned out that this "Bai Cai" was an illusion created by Xin Yue Kui. Xin Yue Kui's soul was out of control due to severe injuries. Bai Cai, due to using Protoss power, was completely under control. Xin Yue Kui helplessly watched as Bai Cai turned dark and transformed into a crystal stone, essentially becoming a fundamental part of the Protoss. The Protoss stated that its mission was to maintain the order of the heavens, while Xin Yue Kui claimed that Wu Geng was attempting to attack the Protoss domain, violating the laws of heaven and man and conspiring with the Protoss Hidden Clan, intending to subvert the order of the heavens.
The Protoss naturally knew about these events. Xin Yue Kui saw Zhou Qiao and his men chasing after them and hurriedly left. Zhou Qiao, who was originally meant to capture Bai Cai, did not expect her Protoss power to be so strong and uncontrollable. Wu Geng learned from Chirp that the lives of the slaves in the mine had improved significantly compared to before, and he was pleased with this. He also hoped that one day he could defeat the Protoss and eliminate slavery from the world.
Wu Geng met Chen Jing alone. Chen Jing still resented Wu Geng for releasing three thousand slaves in the past and punched him as a way to settle the score. However, Chen Jing still refused to agree to cooperate with Wu Geng, believing that staying alive was the most important thing.
Wu Geng knew that Chen Jing didn't want Chirp to be involved in the war against the Protoss, but he promised that regardless of their future relationship, he would protect Chirp with his life. Wu Geng originally planned to leave the mine with A Lan. However, when he overheard Chen Jing and Chirp deliberately discussing aloud whether someone might be hiding in the mine he had dug before, Wu Geng caught the hidden meaning in their words and learned that the mine was no longer under the jurisdiction of the minefield. He instructed A Lan to quickly send a message to An Jiang Jun using the Swift Butterfly, asking him to bring troops to the Beishan Mine and then lie low there as a slave.
An Jiang Jun ordered Zhang Sigong to lead troops to the Beishan Mine. He received a letter from Bai Cai and planned to send the children to the Protoss Hidden Village for safety.
Zhou Qiao sent someone to inform Wu Geng that someone was using Bai Cai to sow discord between the Anti-Protoss Alliance. Wu Geng naturally believed Bai Cai and decided to return to Qiancheng to meet up with Bai Cai and Zhou Qiao.
Meanwhile, Xin Yue Kui brought the upper Protoss to the Protoss Hidden Village. Xin Yue Kui intended to wipe out the Protoss Hidden Village in one fell swoop, but the upper Protoss did not find any signs of violating the heavenly way in these people. The upper Protoss also realized that Xin Yue Kui was trying to deceive Wu Geng, but they had no intention of intervening.
Xin Yue Kui injured Kong Que, Child of the Clouds, Zi Dian, and others. Upon hearing the news, Wu Geng and A Lan hurried to the Protoss Hidden Clan. Bai Cai, briefly regaining consciousness, also urged Wu Geng to leave as soon as possible, as she couldn't guarantee her own actions anymore. A Lan saw that her Protoss power was ineffective against the situation and took Wu Geng away from the Protoss Hidden Village, but the upper Protoss directly intercepted the two.
Wu Geng was unwilling to leave and wanted to awaken Bai Cai. He stated that no matter what Bai Cai had become, he would not give up on her. Bai Cai struggled to control herself, and the upper Protoss became enraged and killed Zi Dian, who had come to help. They then knocked A Lan off the cliff.
Wu Geng still refused to fight against Bai Cai and willingly allowed himself to be knocked off the cliff. Bai Cai's connection to the Protoss was severed, and seeing that she had killed Wu Geng, she used all her strength to regain control and jumped off the cliff to be with him. The Sea Spirit Clan's Bei Er witnessed the severely injured Wu Geng on the beach and in order to save him, she drew the cold poison from his body into her own.
When Wu Geng woke up, he was very grateful to Bei Er for saving him. Bei Er then took Wu Geng to the forbidden land of the Sea Spirit Clan, called Fengyuan. She told Wu Geng that she was the youngest daughter of the Sea Spirit King and informed him that the Sea Spirit Clan, like the human race, had suffered from the oppression of the Protoss for thousands of years. They were even forced by Hei Long to give up the sea area they had inhabited for generations as a barrier for the Protoss.
Although the Sea Spirit Clan had risen up in resistance, they were brutally slaughtered by the Protoss, and the Xian Clan had their heads cut off.
