Episode 12 recap: Jingwen encouraged Zhang Zifeng to find a way to stay at Zhuang Xiaoman's house.
Zhuang Xiaoman and Lin Xian went home together. On the way, Zhuang Xiaoman didn't say a word. Lin Xian wanted to hold hands with Zhuang Xiaoman and mustered up the courage, but unexpectedly, Zhang Zifeng ruined the moment. Zhuang Xiaoman went back home to cook, and Jingwen immediately came to help with the fire. She noticed the smile on Zhuang Xiaoman's lips and inquired about what happened between Zhuang Xiaoman and Lin Xian last night. Zhuang Xiaoman recalled the moment when Lin Xian kissed her, and her smile grew bigger. This made Jingwen intuit that something had happened between the two of them, so she went to find Zhang Zifeng and asked him to find a way to stay at Zhuang Xiaoman's house.
During dinner, Zhang Zifeng praised Zhuang Xiaoman's cooking skills, and Lin Xian asked him to eat more since he would soon be leaving the village. Unexpectedly, Zhang Zifeng mentioned that his camera was broken, and all the pictures he had taken were lost. Now he had to retake them. Zhuang Xiaoman was shocked by this, but since the situation had occurred, they had to find a solution. Zhang Zifeng took this opportunity to request staying at Zhuang Xiaoman's house. Zhuang Xiaoman explained that there were no extra rooms in her house. Jingwen chimed in and suggested that Zhang Zifeng and Lin Xian share a room. However, Lin Xian immediately objected and proposed that Zhang Zifeng stay at Jingwen's house. Haozi also objected and offered to let Zhang Zifeng stay with him. But Zhang Zifeng refused and quietly pleaded with Zhuang Xiaoman, who agreed.
As soon as Zhang Zifeng entered Lin Xian's room, he provoked him, and Lin Xian got so angry that he threw him out. Zhang Zifeng then set up a tent in the yard and pretended to be pitiful. Zhuang Xiaoman intervened and asked Lin Xian to stop causing trouble, arranging for Zhang Zifeng to stay. This disturbed Lin Xian and made it impossible for him to sleep all night.
