Episode 23 recap: Lin secretly helps Zhuang Xiaoman with her plans.
Zhuang Xiaoman can't stand Lin and Lu Yao flaunting in front of her all day, so she voluntarily requests to move out of Lin's office. The assistant brings bad news to Zhuang Xiaoman: her plan proposal still didn't pass, and Lin demands a redo. Zhuang Xiaoman grumbles in her heart while working on it, feeling frustrated. She has already made over a dozen drafts, but Lin is still not satisfied. She suspects that Lin has personal grievances against her.
Zhuang Xiaoman works overtime on the planning proposal, even though she's already exhausted. Lin not only shows no sympathy but also blames Zhuang Xiaoman for her lack of work ability, claiming that she even makes simple mistakes in the data. Zhuang Xiaoman feels a bit wronged and grumbles about Lin in her heart. She thinks that if he continues to bully her like this, she will return to the village tomorrow. However, she realizes that this project is also one she has always wanted to do, so she decides to persevere.
Lin notices that Zhuang Xiaoman has fallen asleep from exhaustion. He carefully removes her hand from the desk and puts a scarf around her to keep her warm. He helps with the plans himself and notices Zhuang Xiaoman's head swaying, so he lets her lean on his shoulder and sleep. This makes him even busier as he needs to use the mouse with one hand and type on the keyboard with the other. Zhuang Xiaoman wakes up and is surprised to find Lin by her side. She assumes that Lin let her lean on him while sleeping, but Lin coldly states that he had no necessity to do so.
Zhuang Xiaoman is ready to continue working, but Lin has already helped and sent the work to her own email. Zhuang Xiaoman looks at the progress and greatly admires Lin.
