Episode 23 recap: Old Wang was ambushed and seriously injured.
After Old Wang and Xiao Wang split up in the underground garage, Old Wang went alone to search for the control room. Along the way, he encountered drug dealers and took care of them effortlessly. However, he was still ambushed and pushed into a car by someone. Old Wang was momentarily held hostage, but he quickly gained the upper hand and successfully defeated his opponent. Old Wang continued moving forward, getting closer to the control room where more people were guarding, but they couldn't stop him.
At that moment, inside the control room, someone was injecting drugs into a woman and mentioned giving her another dose if she performed well. Finally, they noticed the surveillance footage and realized that Old Wang had already broken in. He blocked a group of pursuers from entering the room, and just as they were about to leave, Old Wang burst in effortlessly. He even released the woman who had been held captive earlier. Then, Old Wang looked at the surveillance and informed Xiao Wang about the current situation, reassuring the woman not to be afraid because reinforcements would arrive soon!
However, what Old Wang didn't expect was that while he was fully focused on watching the surveillance, the woman he had released earlier attacked him! The woman mumbled about what those people had said and thought Old Wang deserved a reward. She had completely lost her sanity and attacked Old Wang with several knives. Old Wang mustered all his strength to knock her unconscious and continued giving instructions to Xiao Wang. Eventually, Xiao Wang reached an area without surveillance, and Old Wang couldn't assist him anymore. Old Wang couldn't hold on any longer and collapsed.
