Episode 11 recap: Wei Haiyang takes care of Lin Tuo. Lin Tuo has been diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).
After making all the arrangements, Lin Tuo checked into the hospital for a comprehensive examination. The waiting time was agonizing. Lin Tuo prayed that he wouldn't have the illness that Director Zhou mentioned. An Zhique was still busy. She calculated the time when Lin Tuo would return and sent him a WeChat message asking where he was. But there was no reply from Lin Tuo, and An Zhique couldn't help but complain about him.

Lin Tuo closed the door in the bathroom, listening to An Zhique's words, feeling a mix of emotions. Wei Haiyang was delighted to see Lin Tuo come to work. Jiang Chucheng went to Hua Wei to buy coffee beans and told An Zhique about what he had heard today. Worried that Wei Haiyang was suppressing Lin Tuo, An Zhique tried to think positively and said that he might have too much work on his hands and hadn't finished yet. Jiang Chucheng comforted An Zhique and suggested that she might be overthinking it. An Zhique, with a lot on her mind, went to Lin Tuo's house. Lin Tuo quickly closed his laptop when she arrived. An Zhique asked him why he didn't go to the store after coming back. Lin Tuo explained that he had just returned and realized it was late, so he didn't go.
An Zhique told him about what Jiang Chucheng had said and asked if it was true that he couldn't participate in the competition and couldn't even be a designer anymore, going back to being an assistant. Lin Tuo became a little angry upon hearing this and advised her not to listen to others' gossip. An Zhique said she was just worried that he might be bullied at work, and that it was the team leader's jealousy that was suppressing him. Finally, Lin Tuo erupted, saying that he could handle his own affairs and didn't need An Zhique to talk about conspiracies.
An Zhique found Lin Tuo unreasonable and stormed out, slamming the door behind her. Lin Tuo realized his mistake and bought a pack of lollipops to appease An Zhique. Finally, An Zhique stopped crying and started to smile. On the weekend, Lin Tuo went home to see his grandfather and conveyed An Zhique's invitation. His grandfather said he would go to Chongqing after his own croquet match was over.
Lin Tuo visited his younger brother, Xiao Ye, and urged him to pursue music according to his own interests, assuring him that he would take responsibility for explaining it to their parents. When he returned to the hospital, the director of the neurology department informed him that his illness had been diagnosed as ALS, and it would gradually worsen over time. Furthermore, there were no known cases of complete recovery from the disease so far.
