Episode 21 recap: Yu De Kai and Xiao En are in conflict.
Yu De Kai suddenly appeared at a meeting led by Xiao En, accompanied by Xiao Zhe. He praised the legal department's talent and claimed he would hold a coronation ceremony for the employees. Curious, Xiao En learned that Yu De Kai was announcing a promotion list, elevating Ma Zhuo to be the business manager.
Xiao Zhe was happy for Ma Zhuo. Afterwards, Yu De Kai thanked Xiao En for his years of contribution and promoted him to be the vice president. Although it was sudden, Xiao En still concealed his joy. After the meeting, Xiao En felt something was off, wanting to hold another meeting but was told it had been canceled and the next day's meeting was postponed, making him uneasy.
Seeing Yu De Kai's words in the magazine, Xiao En realized he was being targeted. Unwillingly, he went to find Yu De Kai but was told he was not present, and he pretended to not mind running into Ma Zhuo. Xia Ze mentioned that the homestay business was recovering and praised Ma Zhuo's intelligence, hinting at the complex internal situation of the company.
Xiao Zhe learned that Yu De Kai wanted to sideline his father Xiao En, and though Xiao Zhe wanted to speak up for his father, he was rejected. Yu De Kai directly told Xiao En to go on a vacation, which annoyed Xiao En. Yu An Duo felt that Xiao Zhe did not help her and got angry at him for repeatedly being a no-show.
Yu An Duo demanded that Xiao En choose between divorce or going to a music festival. Xiao Zhe angrily called her "Mo Li".
Xiao En felt that Yu De Kai was no longer loyal, while Yu De Kai said he was giving face due to their friendship. Xiao En threatened with dirty evidence, and Yu De Kai compromised to pay two hundred million. Yu De Kai was hospitalized due to a car accident, while Xiao En was unharmed. Yu De Kai asked Xiao Zhe to take care of Yu An Duo, with an unusual attitude.
Yu De Kai confessed to Yu An Duo and advised her to handle the emotions calmly. Ma Zhuo and Xia Ze went to meet with Yu De Kai, and the atmosphere was tense.
