Episode 6 recap: Ma Zhuo's mother was murdered.
Ma Zhuo accidentally discovered that Xia Ze still kept their old photos, which tore her heart apart. Although Xia Ze claimed there were reasons behind it, Ma Zhuo was skeptical. Recalling back to 2008, Ma Zhuo was warmly invited by Xiao Zhe on campus, and although she was initially hesitant, she still agreed.
Xiao Zhe's love for Shanghai made Ma Zhuo feel this was completely different from Jiang. Xiao Zhe proposed for Ma Zhuo to meet Yu An Duo to mend their friendship. But Ma Zhuo felt that after a certain incident, their emotions had changed, so she felt it unnecessary.

Xia Ze comforted her and waited for Xia Gang to return, but the police arrived instead. Ma Zhuo decided to tell Xia Ze the truth.
