Episode 17 recap: Zhu Da Li Causes Chaos at the Photography Exhibition.
Gu Mo Li kindly reminded that the old Ai (artist) was likely a fraud. He would promise everything, make people happy first, and then cheat them out of deposits and painting fees. Zhu Da Li discovered that Zhang Shan Ya wasn't going to buy groceries but was secretly learning photography. His works even won awards. Zhu Da Li tore the photos in front of everyone.
Zhu Jing Cao tried to stop him but received an angrier slap from Zhu Da Li. Zhang Shan Ya, protective of his son, pushed Zhu Da Li away and threatened him. Huang Qian Niu made up his mind to start a business with Liuliu (his wife). As soon as he received his salary, he would use it to repay Wang Ling Xiao's money.
Upon learning that Huang Qian Niu wanted to work with Liuliu, Wang Ling Xiao reminded him that ambition was a good thing, but he shouldn't hold Liuliu back. At the photography exhibition of the photography class, the teacher asked Gu Mo Li's family of three, Zhang Shan Ya, Zhu Jing Cao, and Keke to take a photo. Little did they know that Zhu Da Li was on his way. He discovered that Zhang Shan Ya had lied to him, saying she was going to the supermarket to sell eggs, but she was dressed up nicely. Suspecting her, he rushed over, disregarding his wife and son's dignity. He publicly tore Zhang Shan Ya's first-place photography work, scolding her for lying and taking photos with the Gu family without any principles. Zhu Jing Cao angrily confronted him, asking why he was embarrassing them here and if he didn't like it, he didn't have to come. Why did he have to tear his mother's work?
Zhu Da Li pushed his son away and angrily went home. Upon arriving home, Zhu Da Li hit Zhu Jing Cao with a slap, only to be fiercely pushed away by Zhang Shan Ya. It was the first time Zhang Shan Ya stood up against Zhu Da Li for their son.
Zhu Da Li was astonished and angrily told them to get out of his house. Zhu Jing Cao mentioned that it was Gu Mo Li who suggested it. Zhu Jing Cao called Gu Mo Li and briefly explained the situation at home, reassuring her not to worry.
Wang Ling Xiao's study abroad sharing came to an end. Huang Qian Niu deliberately stood up and asked him some tricky questions, but Wang Ling Xiao responded briefly and asked him to sit down. Shen Liu Liu left early to go to the hospital for a check-up and was still busy making phone calls while having an ultrasound.

Huang Qian Niu's mother came uninvited and was overly friendly with Shen Liu Liu. Shen Liu Liu had never encountered such a shameless parent before.
The next day, Liuliu went to work and returned the ring her mother gave her to Huang Qian Niu. When Huang's mother learned that her son's rival was Wang Ling Xiao, she left Shanghai and went back home. She started spreading rumors about Wang Ling Xiao's mother, saying that he was having an affair with a woman around forty years old. Wang's mother got upset when she heard this, but Huang's mother stopped there and refused to say anything more.
Shen Liu Liu wanted to find a good hospital for an appointment, but it was difficult to make an appointment online, so she asked Gu Mo Li for help.
