Episode 21 recap: Pan Yue, Yang Cai Wei, and Cai Wei recognized each other.
According to Shen Ci's diary, a year ago, late at night, Miao Zhuang rushed back to the dormitory in a panic after going to the bathroom. He told Shen Ci in a distracted manner that he accidentally saw Dean Chen go to the back mountain, holding a lantern in his hand. On each of the several boats in the back mountain, there was a ghostly figure standing, and their lanterns lit up together, with a ripple pattern on them.
Miao Zhuang was still in a state of shock, and that night he died suddenly. Shen Ci found this matter suspicious but didn't dare to make a fuss. He secretly invited a coroner to perform an autopsy, but unexpectedly Dean Chen claimed that Miao Zhuang had been infected with the plague and had to be cremated immediately. Shen Ci confronted Dean Chen, but Chen Fu and others targeted him and tortured him for their own amusement.
Pan Yue speculated that the back mountain might be a stronghold of the Ripple Organization, and Miao Zhuang accidentally discovered their secret, so he was silenced. Pan Yue and Yang Cai Wei recalled hearing water sounds during their last visit to the back mountain, so they immediately went there again and found an entrance to a cave.
Pan Yue and Yang Cai Wei descended into the cave, where there was indeed water and signs of things being stored. It seemed that they were already aware of their progress. Yang Cai Wei saw a piece of cloth, thinking it might be a bag for transporting goods, so they decided to take it back for further examination.
However, their whereabouts had already been discovered by Dean Chen. He intended to harm them, but when Yang Cai Wei and Pan Yue were traversing through the mountains, they suddenly heard a cry for help coming from a box. Pan Yue went forward to investigate and found a Illusion Twilight bug raised by Shen Yan. He had been bitten! Yang Cai Wei was in great anxiety, but at this moment, a group of black-clad people emerged and attacked them. Pan Yue struggled to endure the discomfort but found it difficult to hold on.
Seeing that Pan Yue couldn't see anymore, Yang Cai Wei had no choice but to command him loudly to fight the enemies, while she accidentally fell off a cliff.
