Episode 2 recap: The Zhang family auctioned off a jade sculpture of a woman's body, while Huo Xiao Xie stole the jade embryo pearl.
As the Zhang family prepared to transport the jade sculpture of the woman's body during the night, the servants were busy with the moving process. The foreman scolded them for being clumsy and threatened to use a whip to discipline them. Suddenly, a man grabbed the foreman's arm, and the whip in his hand burst into flames. It was recognized as the work of the Huo family, practitioners of the fire element. The scene descended into chaos. Shortly after, Shui Wang also arrived at the scene, and everyone rushed towards the jade sculpture of the woman's body.
Huo Xiao Xie had been scouting outside the Zhang family's residence when a mysterious hunchbacked man warned him to be extra cautious. Before he could ask more questions, the hunchbacked man disappeared. Huo Xiao Xie and a few members of the Huo family entered the Zhang family's courtyard. When they encountered Hei San Bian, he quickly dodged them and mocked them for being as weak as the leader of the Huo family. However, today he was determined to obtain the jade sculpture of the woman's body for himself. If the Huo family wanted to succeed, they would have to defeat him and present his corpse to the leader of the Huo family.
Zhang Si Ye organized an auction, intending to lure out the five elemental families with the jade sculpture of the woman's body and then eliminate them all at once. The president of the Japanese Chamber of Commerce, Oda, quickly arrived, followed by Zheng Ze Dao leading a team of police officers to meet with the steward Zhou, preparing to carry out security measures in the Zhang family's residence. However, Zhou informed Zheng Ze Dao that Oda's men were under his command, responsible for internal security in the Zhang family's residence. As for the police officers led by Zheng Ze Dao, they would patrol outside the Zhang family's residence.
Zhou reported to Zhang Si Ye that all the five elemental families had arrived. Zhang Si Ye announced that the auction could begin. As Zhou was about to introduce the location where the jade sculpture of the woman's body was placed, Huo Xiao Xie had already sneaked into the courtyard. When he approached the Guanyin Temple again, he was stopped by Shui Yao Er. Shui Yao Er threw a leaf to the side, and it immediately shattered. Shui Yao Er told Huo Xiao Xie that there were many traps in the Zhang family's residence at night, and one wrong move could result in being crushed to death. However, she knew the traps and offered to guide him if he wanted to obtain the jade sculpture of the woman's body.
The two of them found a hidden mechanism and entered a secret chamber. Inside, Shui Yao Er used divination to find the Bagua formation, but they didn't find the jade sculpture of the woman's body. They only found a bronze mirror. Huo Xiao Xie quickly grabbed the mirror, but Shui Yao Er told him that it was a relic left by her mother and was not valuable. She hoped to have it returned to her.
The two of them left the secret chamber and sneaked onto the rooftop of the Guanyin Temple. As expected, there was a sculpture covered with a curtain. After a moment, the hunchbacked man quietly entered the room and covered the statue with a silk scarf from his back, causing it to become invisible. Steward Zhou went to the room to retrieve the jade sculpture of the woman's body but discovered that the treasure was missing. Sensing something strange about the scene, Steward Zhou quickly used magic to locate the jade sculpture of the woman's body and identified the thief's method as the Tujia secret technique known as "Moving Mountain Armadillo Kung Fu."
Steward Zhou drew his sword, and the man's body was split in half, but he quickly extended his head from the other half. Hei San Bian recognized him as the Tujia Skin-peeling Ghost. After capturing the Skin-peeling Ghost, Steward Zhou retrieved the jade sculpture of the woman's body. Zhang Si Ye explained that the precious item within the sculpture was the jade embryo pearl, hidden within its abdomen, and he proceeded to retrieve it.
While the bidding was taking place, Huo Xiao Xie intentionally caused chaos and stole the jade embryo pearl. He then took Oda hostage and left the scene. Zhang Si Ye rushed back to the scene and summoned the Wind God Catcher to retrieve the jade embryo pearl. Several members of the Huo family provided cover, while Huo Xiao Xie and Hei San Bian retreated to a corner. Several fellow disciples had already planted explosives in the corner of the wall. After the wall was blasted open, the two quickly escaped. Steward Zhou prepared to pursue them but was deliberately stopped by Zheng Ze Dao, who was patrolling outside the door.
After a confrontation between the two sides and under pressure from the Japanese, Zheng Ze Dao reluctantly allowed them to escape. Steward Zhou and Gou gradually led their teams to pursue Huo Xiao Xie. The two fellow disciples were captured by the soldiers of Gouzi Bing while trying to protect Huo Xiao Xie, forcing him to continue his escape.
