Episode 4 recap: Shui Yao Er saved Huo Xiao Xie and obtained the Jade Embryo Pearl for the Mu family.
Huo Xiao Xie couldn't withstand the relentless attacks of the Wind Divine Hunter for long. Just as he was about to reach his limit, San Zhi Liu stepped forward to assess the situation. However, he was secretly struck by an arrow from Butler Zhou. Zheng Ze Dao and his team rushed to the mountains with an arrest warrant signed by the sheriff, charging Butler Zhou with abuse of power. Butler Zhou quickly retreated while Huo Xiao Xie took San Zhi Liu and left. Bie Hou and Lang De Ben were sent to the hospital for treatment.
San Zhi Liu was barely hanging on, and Shui Yao Er gave him a pill to take, which slightly restored his strength. He asked Huo Xiao Xie to find water while he had a private conversation with Shui Yao Er, inquiring whether the pill he took was the Shui Ning Dan (Water Condensing Pill). Shui Yao Er admitted it, indirectly confirming his identity. The Wind Divine Hunter fell for the trap, chasing along the river for a long time without any success. When Gou Jian discovered the trick, he reported it to Zhang Si Ye, and the search teams disbanded.

Lin Wan quickly hid the Jade Embryo Pearl and asked Shui Yao Er to help pack their belongings. They hastily departed from the post station overnight in a carriage.
