Episode 4 recap: Bu Ran saw through the fake Taylor and helped Lu Cen Yang.
Bu Ran followed them all the way to the hotel where Taylor was staying. She saw Lu Cen Yang entertaining Taylor in the western restaurant and noticed that Taylor, who used to show no interest in meat, was enjoying his meal. Later, she followed Taylor into the elevator, and Taylor, being a gentleman, pressed the elevator button for her. Bu Ran noticed that Taylor's thumbnail, which had a grayish discoloration, was missing. She began to suspect that this Taylor was an impostor. So she took off her hat and mask, testing whether Taylor would recognize her. As expected, Taylor didn't know her, confirming Bu Ran's judgment.
Bu Ran was worried that Lu Cen Yang was being deceived, so she tried various ways to notify him. However, when Lu Cen Yang returned home, he went to take a shower. He didn't answer the phone or respond to the knocking on the door. Bu Ran took a risk and climbed over the balcony to get into his house. Unfortunately, she got stuck in the middle and it was only with Lu Cen Yang's help that she managed to free herself. As a result, they ended up in an intimate face-to-face encounter. Lu Cen Yang angrily drove Bu Ran out, but he kindly reminded her to be careful because her parents still cared about her. Yi Zi He realized that Bu Ran might have discovered the existence of the fake Taylor and was concerned that it would ruin their plan.
