Episode 1 recap: Li Xiao Yao accidentally arrived on the Immortal Island and sought medicine from Zhao Ling Er.

Li Xiao Yao, who had been raised by his aunt since childhood, often had a peculiar dream. He dreamt of becoming a great hero and engaging in a fierce battle with a water demon for seven days and nights underwater. Eventually, he emerged victorious and became a renowned hero far and wide. In his dream, he couldn't help but burst into laughter. However, his laughter was abruptly interrupted by his aunt, who tapped an iron pot near his ear, causing Li Xiao Yao to wake up from his heroic dream.

It is said that Li Xiao Yao's parents were legendary heroes. After giving birth to Li Xiao Yao, they entrusted him to his aunt, Li Da Niang, and then disappeared without a trace. Li Da Niang ran an inn and worked hard to raise Li Xiao Yao. She often warned him not to daydream and to work diligently at the inn.

One day, several merchants from Nanzhao checked into the inn. They were generous spenders, so Li Da Niang hurriedly prepared food and requested that Li Xiao Yao serve them attentively. After receiving a few silver coins as a tip, Li Xiao Yao worked even harder. While delivering food to the guests' rooms, he accidentally overheard two of them discussing rumors about the Immortal Island. One of the merchants suggested taking the opportunity of their visit to Yuhang to go to the Immortal Island and have a look. Unable to contain his curiosity, Li Xiao Yao inquired about the location of the Immortal Island. The merchant explained that it was merely hearsay and not to be taken seriously.

The merchants found Li Da Niang's Jiangnan osmanthus wine unfamiliar to their taste, so when they prepared to leave, they encountered a beggar sitting at the entrance. The beggar, named Jiu Jian Xian, asked Li Xiao Yao for some wine. Before Li Xiao Yao could respond, Jiu Jian Xian snatched the osmanthus wine and drank it all in one gulp. It turned out that Jiu Jian Xian was a legendary swordsman. After a few sips of wine, Jiu Jian Xian burst into laughter and proclaimed that Li Xiao Yao was the chosen one. Although Li Xiao Yao didn't know Jiu Jian Xian's true identity, he was delighted to receive praise. Li Xiao Yao couldn't help but keep glancing at the precious sword in Jiu Jian Xian's hand. Jiu Jian Xian told Li Xiao Yao that if he wanted to learn swordsmanship, he should meet him at the Broken Mountain Temple at three in the morning.

After finishing the food delivery, Li Xiao Yao heard that a young man named Wang Xiao Hu had recently gone to the Immortal Island to find an elixir for his grandfather. His companions mocked Wang Xiao Hu for bragging, so the two of them played a prank on their friends. Li Xiao Yao went to Ding Xiang Lan's red bean porridge shop to get a takeout box. Ding Xiu Lan, Li Xiao Yao's younger sister, suggested asking Zhang Si Ge, a fisherman, about the existence of the Immortal Island because Zhang Si Ge had rescued Wang Xiao Hu, who was floating in the water.

After personally questioning Zhang Si Ge, Li Xiao Yao also found it suspicious. He had lived in Yuhang for 19 years and this was the first time he had heard of an Immortal Island. As he was about to return to the inn, Ding Xiu Lan suddenly sent a message that Li Da Niang had fainted. When he arrived back at the inn, Doctor Hong informed Li Xiao Yao that Li Da Niang had fainted due to excessive fatigue and her condition was not promising.

Li Xiao Yao immediately decided to find the Immortal Island and search for the so-called elixir that Wang Xiao Hu had mentioned in order to cure his aunt's illness. He quickly obtained information about the island from the merchants and set off alone. After drifting at sea for an unknown period of time, when Li Xiao Yao woke up, he found himself lying on an island. Following the instructions given by the merchants, he struck the mountain with a mallet they had given him, and a magical scene appeared before his eyes. As Li Xiao Yao was observing his surroundings, a fairy approached him, carefully examined him for a moment, and astonishingly called out his name.

Li Xiao Yao was taken aback. It was his first time on the island, so how did the fairy know his name? Before he could dwell on it, Li Xiao Yao explained the purpose of his journey. The fairy agreed to provide the medicine, and they went to the alchemy room to retrieve it. Suddenly, they were intercepted by an old woman with white hair. The fairy identified Li Xiao Yao as a man, and the old woman hurriedly approached to get a closer look. She suddenly addressed Li Xiao Yao as "Your Grace." Li Xiao Yao was puzzled, but he heard the old woman explain that the fairy was Princess Zhao Ling Er of the Nanzhao Kingdom.

Ten years ago, Li Xiao Yao had saved the life of someone from the Nanzhao Kingdom. Li Xiao Yao had been single-mindedly focused on returning to Yuhang to save his aunt, but the old woman advised him not to rush and emphasized that the Purple Gold Pill could revive the dead. She stated that the most important thing now was to fulfill the promise he made to Zhao Ling Er ten years ago.
