Episode 15 recap: Li Xiaoyao went on a treasure hunt and the female thief was captured.
Xiao Huang, Zhao Ling Er, and A Nu were tracking a precious pearl, led by a small mouse, which brought them to an abandoned dyeing workshop. They accidentally discovered that Jin Banye was a mouse spirit and he was very satisfied with Tang Yu's gift. He invited them into the backyard.
Meanwhile, Li Xiaoyao and Liu Jin Yuan were searching for a specific fragrance at the rouge shop. Li Xiaoyao chose a rouge for Zhao Ling Er, while Liu Jin Yuan chose one for Lin Yue Ru.
While passing by the Jiao Le Fang, Li Xiaoyao came up with a plan and had Liu Jin Yuan disguise himself as a wealthy young man. They started sniffing the scents on each of the courtesans in the brothel.
Li Xiaoyao found a pierced white garment in a storage room and learned that it belonged to a courtesan named Yingying. They inquired about Yingying's condition with the housekeeper and found out that she wasn't feeling well that day.
Liu Jin Yuan proposed to redeem Yingying's freedom, and Yingying confessed her original intention of stealing the treasure.
The courtesan, Yingying, longed for freedom, and the female thief, Ji Sanniang, proposed a partnership: each time they stole something, Yingying would get a share. In the end, Yingying learned about Ji Sanniang's hiding place. Jin Banye took Zhao Ling Er and the others to the backyard, but A Nu's mockery angered him and nearly caused a crisis.
Zhao Ling Er cleverly defused the situation, gaining Jin Banye's trust and learning the whereabouts of the stolen treasure.
Guided by Jin Banye, Zhao Ling Er, Tang Yu, and A Nu arrived at a well in the outskirts of the city, only to find numerous traps. Tang Yu bravely broke through the obstacles, and the three of them confronted an illusionary maid. Zhao Ling Er displayed exceptional magical skills and quickly subdued her.
A Nu and Zhao Ling Er found the missing items in the treasure pavilion, but the sensing of the Holy Spirit Pearl disappeared. Just as they were feeling disappointed, another stone door opened, and A Nu asked Zhao Ling Er to go ahead and wait for Tang Yu.
Li Xiaoyao also joined the action, and Ji Sanniang shared the past of Li Xiaoyao's parents, although it seemed that they might have already passed away.
Zhao Ling Er reunited with Li Xiaoyao, but Ji Sanniang was ambushed by Liu Jin Yuan and the government officials.
