Zheng Ren, who is known as a genius doctor and portrayed by Zhang Bin Bin, came to Haicheng Hospital to work with Su Yun, the director of the Emergency Department, who spends his days lying down. When Zheng Ren was a child, he witnessed a doctor at Haicheng Hospital jumping off a building to commit suicide. As he grew up and achieved academic success, Zheng Ren returned to Haicheng Hospital. When he entered the hospital gate, he paused for a moment upon seeing Lin Ge's photo.

When Zheng Ren finished work, he held an umbrella for a stray cat, which happened to be picked up by Su Yun and named Little Umbrella.
