Episode 2 recap: Su Yun became interested in Zheng Ren.
After a successful surgery, Bu Ruo Tian woke up and wanted Su Li to bring him some alcohol. He said that when he was young and working as a doctor, he didn't dare to drink. Later, when he became the hospital director, he still didn't dare to drink. Even when he got sick, he didn't dare to drink. At this time, someone from the hospital came to inform them that Xia Jie was going to jump off the building. Zheng Ren and Su Yun rushed to the scene. When Xia Jie saw them, she became very emotional. Xie Yi Ren told Su Li that this person's name was Yun Yu Xia. She had a lot of debts from previous surgeries and now her illness had recurred, which made her feel hopeless.
Lin Ge was stopped when he tried to go to the scene of Xia Jie's surgery. Su Li found it strange that there were still people like that, but Su Yun walked over and told Su Li that she agreed with Zheng Ren's statement.
When Zheng Ren wanted to pay for Xia Jie's medical expenses, he didn't have enough money. Xie Yi Ren happened to pass by and lent Zheng Ren the money, asking Zheng Ren to call him when he needed his assistance in the operating room. Zheng Ren agreed. Su Yun told Zheng Ren that even if the surgery for Xia Jie was successful, she wouldn't live for many more years. Zheng Ren believed that a doctor's duty was to treat and save people. Su Yun thought that Zheng Ren was too stubborn. When Su Yun saw that Zheng Ren wanted to go to the Radiology Department but was stopped, she tried to speak up for him, but Zheng Ren said that she was unfit for the hospital as she sought favors in exchange for using equipment.
Su Yun was amazed by Zheng Ren's superb medical skills and witnessed Director Luo, who initially didn't think highly of Zheng Ren, chasing after him to seek advice. Su Yun suddenly felt that relationships were sometimes ineffective and became curious about Zheng Ren's identity.
Zheng Ren returned home and continued searching for clues from old photos, investigating the mastermind behind the scenes.
