Episode 1 recap: The three sisters harbored resentment due to love.

The truth can be buried in darkness, flesh can be consumed by flames, but beliefs will not be. The wind will bury the seeds of truth underground, and time will make them sprout. Luo Ai Lian, breaking free from her cocoon, swore that one day she would stand before the sorrowful and reclaim everything that belonged to her. A month ago, Luo Ai Lian, the eldest daughter of the Luo family, and her sisters Luo Xue Er and Luo Shuang Shuang, went to a temple to have their fortunes told. The divination revealed that the fate of the Luo sisters would undergo earth-shattering changes because of a man. However, Luo Ai Lian didn't pay much attention to this divination, thinking it was just a trick by the fortune teller to deceive them.

Luo Shuang Shuang, on the other hand, believed it to be true and spent a large sum of money to buy a marriage charm, hoping for a smooth union. Master Luo Ji Da, the head of the Luo family, suspected that Du Ruo Shan, the son of the Du family, had intentions of marrying into the Luo family. He instructed the housekeeper to take good care of Luo Shuang Shuang and also reminded her not to forget Luo Ai Lian and Luo Xue Er.

The housekeeper informed Luo Shuang Shuang in advance to return home and dress well to leave a good impression on Master Du, so that she could help facilitate the marriage between her daughter and him. Du Ruo Shan, the son of the Du family, tested Luo Shuang Shuang by asking her to come up with a name for a new wine product from Ganlu Tang. Luo Shuang Shuang had no knowledge of her family's business, but coincidentally, Luo Ai Lian, who had just returned, immediately named the wine "Everlasting Spring" and recognized that the wine brought by Du Ruo Shan was personally crafted by him. Du Ruo Shan greatly admired Luo Ai Lian, and Luo Ai Lian, not seeking all the attention for herself, openly admitted that the name of the family's wine was chosen by Luo Xue Er. This made Luo Shuang Shuang, who had lost the limelight, quite disdainful.

Luo Shuang Shuang was greatly annoyed by the events of the day. Aunt Zhou, aware that Luo Ji Da favored Luo Ai Lian and intended for her to take over Ganlu Tang, had her own plans to disrupt the mother-daughter relationship. Luo Ai Lian noticed that Luo Xue Er had feelings for Du Ruo Shan and instructed a maid to return the gifts he had sent. Luo Ai Lian knew that Xue Er had been despised by her birth mother, Aunt Zhou, for many years due to her close relationship with her. She intended to help Xue Er achieve happiness with Du Ruo Shan.

Luo Ji Da saw his youngest daughter wandering outside the southern guest room in the evening and reprimanded her. He also instructed Luo Shuang Shuang to go to Ganlu Tang the next day to learn about winemaking. Aunt Zhou came to find Luo Xue Er and asked her to assist Luo Shuang Shuang in marrying into the Du family, promising to find a wealthy family for Luo Xue Er to marry into as well.

Xue Er felt aggrieved because of her mother's favoritism towards Luo Shuang Shuang and believed that her mother was unworthy of being called a mother. In her anger, Aunt Zhou slapped Luo Xue Er and warned her to quickly stand on her side.

Luo Xue Er sought Luo Ai Lian's help after being warned by Aunt Zhou, but mistakenly believed she found Du Ruo Shan dead in Luo Ai Lian's room. Luo Ai Lian explained that Du Ruo Shan came to her seeking marriage but was rejected and became aggressive towards her. During their argument, Du Ruo Shan suddenly collapsed and died.

Luo Ai Lian suspected that Du Ruo Shan died from a preexisting illness triggered by alcohol consumption. To prevent Du Ruo Shan's death from implicating Luo Ai Lian, Luo Xue Er suggested moving his body back to his room. The next day, Mr. Du, Du Ruo Shan's father, came seeking an explanation for his son's death. Although the coroner confirmed that Du Ruo Shan died from a heart condition, Mr. Du was determined to seek revenge and ordered his men to kill the Luo family members. In a critical moment, General Xu Cheng Feng saved the Luo family.

After examining the body, Xu Cheng Feng confirmed that Du Ruo Shan died from a heart condition but pointed out that the body had been moved after death, speculating that a woman was responsible for the relocation. To compensate Mr. Du, Luo Ji Da, in distress, offered the family's property deeds and the future three years' revenue of Ganlu Tang to the Du family. Unable to bear the pain of losing his son, Mr. Du demanded that Luo Ji Da bury one of his daughters alongside Du Ruo Shan in a ghost marriage.

Reluctant to sacrifice his daughter, Luo Ji Da learned the details of Du Ruo Shan's death and its consequences from Luo Ai Lian and entrusted her to handle the matter. Luo Shuang Shuang overheard her father's decision not to send Luo Ai Lian for the ghost marriage and became worried that she would be chosen instead.

In the house, Luo Ai Lian discovered a note left by Du Ruo Shan. Although she had no communication with him through letters, she realized that someone was deliberately framing her. Luo Ai Lian privately went to Luo Shuang Shuang's room and found ink stains, deducing that everything stemmed from Luo Shuang Shuang's admiration for Du Ruo Shan. Luo Ai Lian wanted to inform Luo Ji Da about this, but instead discovered her father had died due to an asthma attack.

Late at night, Xu Cheng Feng arrived at the Luo residence to investigate Du Ruo Shan's death and witnessed the situation. Seeing that Luo Ji Da had already passed away, Luo Shuang Shuang blamed Luo Ai Lian for their father's death. Xu Cheng Feng questioned Luo Ai Lian about whether she had moved Du Ruo Shan's body. Faced with the interrogation, Luo Ai Lian truthfully revealed the events surrounding Du Ruo Shan's death and exposed Luo Shuang Shuang's framing through the note.

Xu Cheng Feng ordered the temporary detention of the suspect, Luo Ai Lian, and she earnestly requested his investigation into her father's death.
