Episode 15 recap: Lu Xiao Lu left Shanghai.
Lu Xiao Lu and Bai Lan were working part-time in Shanghai. Lu Xiao Lu worked as a doorman at a hotel, but encountered very rude customers who asked Lu Xiao Lu to shine their shoes. Lu Xiao Lu endured it, while Bai Lan worked as a model taking photos and was harassed by malicious individuals. Bai Lan also chose to endure it. Lu Xiao Lu became angry and felt that Bai Lan had changed. Bai Lan stated that the Lu Xiao Lu they knew wouldn't work as a doorman for someone else. This created a crisis between them.
Surprisingly, Lu Xiao Lu became a doorman, but he wasn't skilled at it. His colleagues taught him to have a keen eye as a doorman and, most importantly, to identify customers who could give tips. Later, pointing at a foreign customer walking towards them, Lu Xiao Lu said she looked stylish but always ordered instant coffee from the hotel, indicating that she wasn't someone who would give a tip. Lu Xiao Lu was contemplating what his colleague had said when the woman took the initiative to ask Lu Xiao Lu for directions to Chenghuang Temple. Lu Xiao Lu understood half of what she said and guessed the rest. Finally, Lu Xiao Lu patiently provided the customer with directions. The customer thanked Lu Xiao Lu for his help and generously gave him a tip. This was Lu Xiao Lu's first tip, and he was very happy. Even his colleagues were happy for him.
Bai Lan's modeling work also progressed smoothly, and the boss had high expectations for Bai Lan. The boss promised Bai Lan better opportunities and increased compensation for her work. Lu Xiao Lu saw Bai Lan's photo displayed on a board at the sales exhibition and got excited. He rushed over and accidentally bumped into a female customer. The customer immediately started making a scene, and the manager came over and told Lu Xiao Lu to apologize. He even made Lu Xiao Lu kneel down and shine the customer's shoes. While Lu Xiao Lu was working normally, the police came to his door, saying it was about the stolen camera. Lu Xiao Lu explained that he bought the camera from a colleague, but he didn't have any proof, and the colleague had run away. On Bai Lan's side, she also encountered trouble. Mr. Huang unexpectedly came to her school to give a lecture and publicly asked Bai Lan about her stolen camera.
