Episode 20 recap: Zhao Jun and Dun Ge met.
Zhao Jun's parents divorced when he was young. Although his mother treated him well, he felt a sense of loss when he saw other children with their parents by their side. He tried hard to improve his relationship with his father, even going as far as ingratiating himself, but it seemed that his parents still didn't have a connection. On his birthday, Zhao Jun specifically asked his father in the morning if they could have a family meal together. His father gave him a Mercedes-Benz as a gift and didn't refuse the dinner arrangement.
Back home, Chen Hua Yun also wished her son a happy birthday. When she heard that her son wanted the whole family to have dinner together in the evening, she unhesitatingly refused. Zhao Zhi Hong is a thorough businessman, and the two of them have completely different values, making it impossible to communicate. In the evening, Zhao Jun went to the designated location with a cake, waiting for his father alone.
Zhao Zhi Hong hadn't arrived yet, so Zhao Jun poured himself a glass of wine. He overheard a girl at the bar being denied the discounted meal on her coupon, so he took the initiative to invite her to share a table. This girl was Dun Ge, who had just arrived at the Royal Kiln. Since the order had already been placed, she joined Zhao Jun at the table.
During their time together, they didn't exchange many words. But when Dun Ge saw the cake on the table, she knew the other person must be celebrating a birthday, so she quickly started eating to make room. Zhao Zhi Hong called, saying he couldn't come to celebrate his son's birthday because of business engagements. After finishing the call, Zhao Jun returned to the table and found that the girl he shared the table with had already left. There was a note on the table, wishing him a happy birthday and promising that he wouldn't spend his next birthday alone. At that moment, a gentle birthday song played in the restaurant, warming Zhao Jun's heart. Even a stranger's blessings were enough to make him feel a bit warm.
Dun Ge arrived at the Royal Kiln, and Chen Xiao Man specially went to pick her up. The two of them excitedly embraced each other upon meeting. Now that their close friends were by their side and Chen Xiao Man had Ke Yan's attentive care, Dun Ge felt extremely happy. On her first day of work, her master called her to the prized artwork of the Royal Kiln, the Eight Scenic Views of Niulan Mountain. It was a piece created several years ago, and now that Chen Hua Feng had an apprentice, he wanted to regain his confidence, fulfill his previous wish, and create an even greater porcelain artwork.
Chen Xiao Man was thrilled to be able to work with her master to complete this monumental piece. She could finally start from scratch, throwing clay, observing the firing process, and painting. She could carefully learn each step. Chen Xiao Man shared this news with Ke Yan, and he was happy for her. Under the silver moonlight, in such an ambiguous atmosphere, the two of them became intimate.
Since the last time Ke Yan had heroically saved Chen Xun Yao, she couldn't stop thinking about him. After searching for Ke Yan's personal resume on the internet, she found him even more mysterious and infinitely charming. After that, she often found excuses to hang around Ke Yan's guesthouse. On several occasions, Ke Yan politely "asked" her to leave.
However, one night, after Ke Yan finished showering, he discovered Chen Xun Yao lying drowsy on the bed in his bedroom. Ke Yan immediately called Chen Xiao Man. Chen Xiao Man sent her cousin back home. She felt both helpless and ridiculous about her charming boss. Ke Yan made it clear that he wasn't someone easily swayed, despite being in the presence of many beautiful women.
In the early morning, Chen Xun Yao woke up and immediately asked Chen Xiao Man if a handsome man had escorted her home the night before. Chen Xiao Man concealed her relationship with Ke Yan and only mentioned that they had met in Beijing. She explained that Ke Yan was her boss and they were working on a project at the Royal Kiln.
Upon hearing this, and confirming that Ke Yan was indeed a career-driven man, Chen Xun Yao became even more determined to pursue him.
