Episode 26 recap: Jiang Hen confessed his secret to Mu Qing before his death.
Prince Qi had Zhuo Bu Fan keep an eye on Mu Qing, and Zhong Haichao told Yu Huanjie that the inner palace accounts for nothing, and there is no one in the whole Qing dynasty who can rival the Beiyang Army. Yu Huanjie also agreed to report all information to Zhong Haichao in the future. Mu Qing stated that he has Bodhi, Wang Jialuo has Dharma, Zhuo Bu Fan has the Vinaya seal, but now they are looking for a Prajñā practitioner who has never appeared before.
Lin Anjing was worried about being in an accident, so she told Wu Lanshan the secret of the Bodhi seal. Prince Qi thought he had treated Jiang Hen well all these years, but didn't expect Jiang Hen to betray him in the end. This time, he had Zhuo Bu Fan investigate the secret of the Jingtan, and Prince Qi realized that Jiang Hen had hidden something from him and even failed to help Zhuo Bu Fan at a critical moment.

Now that he has been poisoned and the poison is attacking his heart, he tells Mu Qing that his name is Jiang Hen and that he has been working for Prince Qi, and is now helping Zhuo Bu Fan find the secret of the Jingtan. He tells Mu Qing three things: first, that he was a palace guard who investigated the Jingtan secret thirty years ago, and he captured Su Yunzhi in Shanxi, but was later defeated by Cheng Yu.
However, Cheng Yu did not kill him, and they became good brothers instead. Cheng Yu told him many things about the Jingtan secret, and the task Cheng Yu gave him was to gather the four seals again this year. The second thing is that the Jingtan secret is guarded by the Chief Seat of the Luohan Hall and the Eighteen Arhats. To unlock it, the seals of the Vinaya House, the Dharma House, the Prajñā Hall, and the Bodhi House must be gathered.
In the previous thirty-year agreement, there were no successors from the Vinaya House and the Dharma House. Cheng Yu investigated for years and found that the successor of the Vinaya House had allied with the court and was hunting down the Chief Seat of the Dharma House, whose whereabouts are unknown. Jiang Hen had been pushing Mu Qing, Wang Jialuo, and Zhuo Bu Fan to investigate the clues of the secret, and he tells Mu Qing that Baohezhai Inn is just a code name, and the real place is an inn called Zeze Inn near the former site of Nanshaolin in Fujian.
The third thing Jiang Hen tells Mu Qing is that his teacher Cheng Yu is a great man who left the clues of the secret for the future of the country and the nation, and his wish is to hand it over to the person who can truly change the future of the country and the nation, which is not the Xuantong Emperor but the revolution. Jiang Hen hopes that Mu Qing will not hand over the secret to the court before his death.
The conversation between Jiang Hen and Mu Qing was overheard by Zhuo Bu Fan, who was sent by Prince Qi to monitor them. Zhuo Bu Fan reported back to Prince Qi, recounting Jiang Hen's plans related to their 30-year agreement. Zhuo Bu Fan intends to first visit the Jieyu Convent disciples in the Jiangnan region, and then proceed to the Baohe rendezvous. However, Prince Qi does not fully trust Zhuo Bu Fan, so he instructs Zhong Haichao, who is being sent to Fujian, to keep a close eye on him, and also suggests that Zhuo Bu Fan's movements can be tracked through Yu Huanjie.
Prince Qi asks Zhong Haichao to keep an eye on Mu Qing. Wu Lanshan overhears the conversation between her father and Zhong Haichao, and informs Liu Lin. They decide to go to Fujian together to gather more intelligence. Wu Lanshan also realizes that Men Sandao and Liu Lin will likely travel to Fujian due to the sacred altar secret, so she plans to pass any information obtained from Zhong Haichao to them to assist their mission.
Mu Qing tells Wang Jialuo the information he learned from Jiang Hen, and they both want to see each other's seals, but since neither of them actually have the real seals, they make excuses to refuse. Yu Huanjie meets with Zhong Haichao, and, tempted by Zhong's offers, decides to report to the Beiyang faction rather than Prince Qi in the future.
Wu Lanshan and Liu Lin make a plan to pass information to each other in Fujian. Lin Anjing and Qing Yifeng discuss their next steps, and while Lin Anjing suggests that Mu Qing will likely share his leads with Wang Jialuo, Qing Yifeng says they also need to keep an eye on Zhuo Bu Fan's movements. Lin Anjing then tells Wang Jialuo about encountering the Rongtian Ling group on his way to buy rouge, which allows Wang Jialuo to learn that Zhuo Bu Fan's group is heading to Jiangnan, prompting Wang Jialuo to go to Jiangnan with Lin Anjing to gather more clues.
Zhong Haichao tries to dissuade Wu Lanshan from accompanying him to Fujian due to the harsh conditions, but Prince Qi approves of Wu Lanshan going, so Zhong has to agree. Wu Lanshan leaves Liu Lin in Mu Qing's care and tells Mu Qing she is going to Fujian, but Mu Qing does not see her off, indicating he will also be going to Fujian soon.
Worried about her safety in Fujian, Liu Lin secretly tells Wu Lanshan the secret she learned from Futu Temple.
