Episode 35 recap: Lin Hao Han sacrificed his life for the revolution.
Men San Dao bid farewell to Wang Di Bao, learning that he had killed Zhuo Bu Fan and Huo Qin, and was furious, denouncing Wang Di Bao's obstinacy and callousness. Wang Di Bao firmly gripped the ring he had given to Lin An Jing, stating that he had to abide by the laws of the Great Qing.
From ancient times, loyalty and filial piety have been difficult to reconcile, and the same is true for emotions and the law. The two parted on bad terms, but Wang Di Bao still expressed that he would arrive at Futu Temple tonight to resolve everything. Zhong Hai Chao led the Northern Warlord Army to surround and ambush Men San Dao's group, intending to obtain the Bodhi Seal and Vinaya Seal they possessed. Under Lin Hao Han's cover, Men San Dao fled to Futu Temple, while Lin Hao Han was killed by a hidden assassin's gunshot, and Liu Lin also sacrificed himself to protect the secret.
The butchers were all disciples of the Luohan Hall, and they would risk their lives to assist anyone who spoke the password given by their master. Lin Hao Han repeatedly asked the Luohan Hall disciples, confirming that they had guarded this place for generations without knowing the treasure they were protecting. Seeing his fallen brothers, Zhuo Bu Fan sighed that the Fusingjian Sect had finally been buried by his own hand, and now the entire sect only had him and Huo Qin left. He threw away his sword, wishing only to spend the rest of his life with Huo Qin.
Zhuo Bu Fan told Mu Qing that he had decided to withdraw from the jianghu, but Mu Qing still promised that the money and martial arts secrets belonging to Zhuo Bu Fan would remain his, even after finding the treasure. Zhuo Bu Fan apologized for not being able to keep the appointment at Futu Temple, and planned to take Huo Qin to Meixun to live.
After bidding farewell to Mu Qing, Zhuo Bu Fan and Huo Qin left. Huo Qin planned to return to Meixun with Zhuo Bu Fan first to recover, and then come back to help Mu Qing fulfill his wish, as a way of repaying today's favor. However, to Zhuo Bu Fan's surprise, they encountered Wang Jia Luo on the way, who had brought the Forty-Third Regiment to surround Zhuo Bu Fan and Huo Qin, wanting to settle the Dagu bloodshed case with Zhuo Bu Fan. But the current Wang Jia Luo was already obsessed, and no matter how much Zhuo Bu Fan and Huo Qin pleaded, he did not change his mind, ultimately ordering his subordinates to shoot them.
Hearing the news, Mu Qing rushed over and learned that Wang Jia Luo had killed Zhuo Bu Fan and Huo Qin. Furious, he also learned that Wang Jia Luo had executed Lin An Jing, who was a Japanese spy, on the spot. Mu Qing denounced Wang Jia Luo's obstinacy and callousness.
Wang Jia Luo tightly gripped the ring he had given to Lin An Jing, expressing that he must abide by the laws of the Great Qing, as historically loyalty and filial piety have been difficult to reconcile, and the same is true for love and the law.
The two parted ways on bad terms, but Wang Di Bao still stated that he would rush to Futu Temple tonight to resolve everything. Zhong Hai Chao declared that Wang Jia Luo's matters had been settled, ordering Ding Yu to lead the 43rd Division out of Fujian, and also instructed Wang Jia Luo to return the clothes from the Northern Warlords. In order to not put Ding Yu in a difficult position, Wang Jia Luo had Ding Yu's troops depart.
Zhong Hai Chao met with Qing Yi Xin Feng again. Now that the Prince of Qi had come to determine the ownership of the hidden treasures, it would be best for the holders of the seals to disappear, which would benefit both the Northern Warlords and the Japanese. Wang Jia Luo did not have a seal, but Zhuo Bu Fan's monastic seal was likely in Mu Qing's possession, so the plan was to simply kill Mu Qing and his people.
Zhong Hai Chao's men found the butcher's shop, where Mu Qing instructed his Luohan Hall senior brother to leave first. Zhong Hai Chao demanded that Mu Qing hand over the seal in his possession. Lin Hao Han appeared holding the seal, using the opportunity to hand it over to Zhong Hai Chao as a means to threaten the Northern Warlord army. Zhong Hai Chao ordered his soldiers to lower their weapons, and Liu Lin rushed in to escort the two away. However, Lin Hao Han was accidentally killed by Qing Yi Xin Feng's hidden gunshot. Liu Lin quickly drove Mu Qing away.
On her way out, Liu Lin was shot. She persisted in delivering Mu Qing to Futu Temple. Wu Lan Shan was devastated to learn of Lin Hao Han's death, and in that moment Liu Lin died from her gunshot wounds in Wu Lan Shan's arms. So many comrades had died because of the seals, deepening Mu Qing and Wu Lan Shan's resolve to change the country and bring hope to more people.
That night, Wang Jia Luo came to Futu Temple. Mu Qing told him that he was a Dharma heir, and that they were fellow disciples, hoping to persuade Wang Jia Luo to follow the master's teachings. But Wang Jia Luo believed the nation came before the sect. Seeing he could not sway the stubborn Wang Jia Luo, Mu Qing directly told him that the Southern Shaolin were the rightful owners of the hidden treasures, and the masters did not wish to hand them over to the government, wanting to give the relics to the right people instead.
Mu Qing plainly stated he wanted to give the treasures to the revolutionaries. Unwilling to budge, the two had no choice but to engage in combat.
