Episode 1 recap: Qiu Hao Er manages the company on behalf of his grandfather.
Qiu Zhi Bin wants to rent the commercial space on the lower floor of Paris Plaza to Uncle Zhuang for opening a French restaurant. The original tenant still has two months left on the contract. Qiu Hao Er is tasked with resolving this matter. Qiu Hao Er explains that the original tenant was in a rush to go abroad, so he has already signed a new lease with them in advance. If they breach the contract, they will have to pay a penalty. Qiu Zhi Bin has no choice but to compromise and asks Qiu Hao Er to personally call Uncle Zhuang to explain the situation and arrange a good location for him.
Upon returning to the office, Qiu Hao Er immediately instructs a subordinate to call the original tenant and have them come in to sign the contract. It's important that Qiu Zhi Bin doesn't find out about this. The subordinate agrees to the request. Qiu Shou Yi and his son Qiu Zhi Bin want to alleviate the company's financial pressure through the D Field project in Singapore. However, Qiu Hao Er suggests that she has a better solution to help the company solve this problem. Qiu Shou Yi doesn't look at the plan presented by Qiu Hao Er and asks her to speak directly. Qiu Hao Er explains that while the D Field project can temporarily alleviate the financial pressure, it doesn't solve the root problem. She proposes a less risky approach, which is to convert one of the buildings in the Singapore hotel into serviced apartments for rent. Qiu Shou Yi rejects this plan, stating that he believes the D Field project is the best solution. He also says that Qiu Hao Er is only responsible for managing the shopping mall and he has a clear understanding of the group's affairs. When it comes to mall management, Qiu Shou Yi asks about Uncle Zhuang's matter. Qiu Zhi Bin shifts the entire responsibility for this matter to Qiu Hao Er, who tries to explain. However, Qiu Shou Yi refuses to listen and states that Qiu Zhi Bin, as the executive CEO of the group, has the final say. He tells Qiu Hao Er to handle the matter herself, and she reluctantly agrees.
After Qiu Hao Er leaves, Qiu Shou Yi educates Qiu Zhi Bin, emphasizing that he is the only male heir of the family and the future successor. He warns him to be cautious of Qiu Hao Er in the future. Qiu Zhi Bin nods in agreement.
To welcome Qiu Han Yang, the new head of the family, the Qiu family holds a banquet. Qiu Shou Ren's newlywed wife, Zhu Li Qi, personally decorates the dining table. Qiu Shou Yi's two wives look down on her and intentionally approach Zhu Li Qi to provoke her. Dai Qi Ting suggests that they wear the family's heirloom jade necklaces to make their father-in-law happy. Shao Jia Bi agrees, and when Zhu Li Qi hears this, her expression immediately changes. She asks about the family heirloom jade necklaces, and Shao Jia Bi explains that her mother-in-law's family is in the jade business. When she was alive, she would give each daughter-in-law in the Qiu family a set of jade necklaces. However, Zhu Li Qi's mother-in-law had already passed away when she married into the family. Dai Qi Ting deliberately asks why she didn't ask Qiu Hao Er's mother to bring the necklaces over. Zhu Li Qi forces a smile and says it doesn't matter, as Qiu Shou Ren has given her many diamond necklaces, and she can wear those instead.
Qiu Hao Er receives a call from the original tenant, who is unhappy with her contradictory behavior and scolds her. Qiu Han Yang, who happens to be nearby, overhears it and assumes it's a regular business dispute. He comforts Qiu Hao Er. Zhu Li Qi, although she acts nonchalant, is still dissatisfied. She playfully asks Qiu Shou Ren to retrieve Qiu Hao Er's mother's jade necklaces. Qiu Shou Ren is in a difficult position but conveniently receives a call from Qiu Hao Er, informing him that Qiu Han Yang has arrived. He quickly changes the subject and takes Zhu Li Qi to greet him.
At the banquet, the Qiu family appeared harmonious. During the event, Qiu Hao Er stepped aside to talk to her father, Qiu Shou Ren, about Qiu Zhi Bin and their plan to open the D Field project. Qiu Hao Er still didn't support the project, but Qiu Shou Ren reassured her, saying that now that their grandfather had returned, if there were any issues, Qiu Han Yang would be able to recognize them, and she shouldn't worry.
Qiu Han Yang called Qiu Shou Yi into the study and criticized him for the D Field project. Qiu Shou Yi explained his plans and the benefits of the project, but Qiu Han Yang disagreed. He mentioned how their father was a gambler in the past, which caused turmoil in the family. The two of them had a heated argument but couldn't reach a consensus. Qiu Shou Yi asked Qiu Han Yang to reconsider.
Qiu Zhi Bin made a phone call to ask Gao Jun to help him resolve the trouble caused by his affair and then went to the company. In the morning, Qiu Hao Er went to call Qiu Han Yang to go to the company but found him collapsed on the ground. She quickly rushed him to the hospital. After rescue efforts, Qiu Han Yang temporarily escaped the danger, but it was uncertain when he would regain consciousness.
Lawyer Tang gathered the Qiu family together and informed them that Qiu Han Yang had prepared a power of attorney before the incident. At that time, he had just been diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. The document stated that if he encountered any situation where his mental faculties were impaired, Qiu Hao Er would have full authority to handle the company's affairs on his behalf. The entire family was shocked, and Qiu Shou Yi's family was particularly unhappy.
