Episode 12 recap: Grandfather woke up and was transferred to another hospital by Zhi Bin.
Qiqi stood up Qiu Zhi Bin for a date, so Qiu Zhi Bin invited Ma Xiaoling to have a candlelight dinner together. After that night, their relationship became even better. In the morning, Qiu Zhi Tong accidentally told the family about Qiu Zhi Lan being rejected by Gao Jun. However, Shao Jia Bi felt that Gao Jun was not worthy of Qiu Zhi Lan. Qiu Zhi Lan got angry when she heard this and mocked Shao Jia Bi, saying she was just a third party. Qiu Shou Yi heard about it and got very angry. Qiu Zhi Lan refused to apologize, so Qiu Shou Yi hit her and she ran away, feeling sad and angry.
Qiu Zhi Lan used the excuse of falling out with Gao Jun and the family to move into Gao Jun's house. Gao Jun couldn't drive her away, so he had to leave and go back to his father's house. Qiu Zhi Bin found out that Qiqi had been getting close to a boxer recently, so he went to the boxing ring and told Qiqi that he would rather die than be looked down upon by the woman he loved. He got in the ring and fought against the boxer, ending up with serious injuries and losing. However, Qiqi was moved by his bravery, and they reconciled. In fact, all of this was arranged by Qiu Zhi Bin in advance, including bribing the boxer to stage the fight for Qiqi. Qiqi fell for it and even asked her father to help arrange a meeting with the gambling king for Qiu Zhi Bin.
The contracts for the D event have all been prepared, and in two days, Qiu Zhi Bin will go to Malaysia to sign the contract. Qiu Zhi Bin is very happy and shares the news with Ma Xiaoling, asking her to accompany him. He also suggests delaying their return by two days so they can explore the place together. Qiu Zhi Bin went to Malaysia to sign the contract. According to the terms of the contract, there was a seven-day cooling-off period during which either party could cancel the contract. Qiu Zhi Bin had planned to celebrate with Ma Xiaoling that evening, but unexpectedly, Qiqi showed up. When Ma Xiaoling arrived at the restaurant, she saw Qiqi sitting across from Qiu Zhi Bin, which made Qiqi unhappy. Qiu Zhi Bin explained that she was there to accompany him for the contract signing. Ma Xiaoling was understanding and said she came to inform Qiu Zhi Bin that the documents had been delivered to his room. She had plans with friends that night, so she left. Qiu Zhi Bin nodded, and Ma Xiaoling left feeling sad.
After seeing Qiqi off, Qiu Zhi Bin noticed Ma Xiaoling getting out of a taxi with Paul. He immediately went to Ma Xiaoling's room to confront her and asked what she had been doing with Paul. Ma Xiaoling explained that Paul had stood her up that night, and she had only gone out for dinner with friends. She emphasized that she was just his secretary, and Qiu Zhi Bin assertively told Ma Xiaoling that from that moment on, she was not only his secretary but also his woman. He told her not to be with other men. They were about to proceed further when suddenly Shao Jia Bi called, informing them that Qiu Han Yang had woken up. Qiu Zhi Bin hurriedly returned to the country. However, they discovered that Qiu Han Yang still couldn't speak. The doctor explained that it was because Qiu Han Yang had previously experienced oxygen deprivation to the brain, which had affected some of his functions that had not fully recovered. For now, Qiu Han Yang needed more rest.
Now that Qiu Han Yang had woken up, Qiu Zhi Bin and Qiu Shou Yi were concerned that Qiu Hao Er would complain to Qiu Han Yang. The contract for the D event was still within the seven-day cooling-off period. Qiu Shou Yi stated that Qiu Hao Er must not meet Qiu Han Yang during these seven days. If Qiu Han Yang insisted on opposing the D event, Qiu Shou Yi would publicly reveal his brain degenerative condition and propose to remove him from the position of chairman at the board meeting. However, he wouldn't take that step unless it was necessary.
Qiu Hao Er and He Mei Ying went to the hospital to visit Qiu Han Yang, only to be informed by the doctor that Qiu Han Yang had been transferred to another hospital. Qiu Hao Er questioned Qiu Zhi Bin about it, but Qiu Zhi Bin stated that he just wanted Grandfather to have a better environment for treatment. If Qiu Hao Er and Qiu Shou Ren wanted to visit, they should inform him. Qiu Hao Er laughed and warned him to think carefully about what was more important, Grandfather's health or his own selfishness.
