Episode 26 recap: Hao'er knows about Qiu Zhi Bin's background.
Qiu Shou Yi criticized Qiu Zhi Bin for his past foolish actions, and Qiu Zhi Bin apologized to his father. Qiu Shou Yi said it was fortunate that they had a total of 50 shares, while Qiu Hao Er and the others only had 40. Upon hearing this, Qiu Zhi Bin felt guilty because he had already given 5% of his shares to Qiu Hao Er, making the shares evenly split between the two sides. Qiu Shou Yi said he planned to take the Qiu family public, which would allow him to fully control the company. Qiu Zhi Bin was worried that his mortgage of shares would be exposed if the company went public.
Qiu Zhi Bin told Ma Xiaoling about his plan to move abroad with her and asked her not to tell Qiu Hao Er, and she agreed. Qiu Shou Ren became the vice chairman of the Qiu family, and the first thing he did was to put the Qiu family's food supply business, which had been handled by Dai Qiting's family, up for new bidding. Dai Qiting was dissatisfied but could not change it.
While on a business trip, Qiu Shou Yi ran into Ma Xiaoling and chatted with her, expressing concern for her and the child in her belly. When Qiu Shou Yi returned home, he wanted to talk to Shao Jiabu about caring more for Ma Xiaoling's child. After learning Shao Jiabu's location, he went to find her, but accidentally overheard her phone conversation with Gao Cheng, learning that Qiu Zhi Bin was actually Gao Cheng's child, which devastated him.
Gao Jun saw the loan contract and felt the risk was too high. He questioned Qiu Hao Er, who said he did it all for Qiu Zhi Bin's shares. Gao Jun was still very dissatisfied, feeling that if there was an accident and Qiu Hao Er couldn't repay the loan, he might have to offer himself to Zhao Qibang. They started arguing, and then Gao Jun received a call from the hospital saying Gao Cheng had passed away. They rushed to the hospital, where Gao Jun was deeply grieved seeing Gao Cheng's body.
Seeing Gao Jun in a daze, Qiu Hao Er offered to take him home. At Gao Jun's house, Qiu Hao Er stayed with him, comforting him.
Shao Jia Bi told Qiu Zhi Bin the news of Gao Cheng's passing, saying she suspects the call she received from Gao Cheng today was one he made before the incident, where he said he was in trouble, but didn't elaborate further, and then she heard a loud noise and the call cut off. She tried to call him back but no one answered. Now that Gao Cheng has passed away, Shao Jia Bi is very uneasy, and Qiu Zhi Bin comforts her.
The police came to find Gao Jun, saying they reviewed the traffic surveillance footage of the incident, and the forensic evidence indicates that Gao Cheng died of a cerebral hemorrhage, but they cannot determine if it occurred before or after the crash. The footage shows Gao Cheng's vehicle suddenly swerving in an S-shape, so they suspect Gao Cheng may have suffered a sudden vascular rupture in his brain. Gao Jun says he saw bruising on his father's head and injury around his eye at the hospital, so he suspects the head trauma was caused before the incident.
The police took Gao Jun to the remote location where Gao Cheng had gone before the incident. They said Gao Cheng had made a 10-second call to Shao Jia Bi just prior, so they believe he was on the call when the incident occurred. They also found an earlier call to Gao Cheng, which they estimate was made just before he headed to that location, and that number belonged to Qiu Shou Yi.
Gao Jun confronted Qiu Shou Yi, who admitted making that call to Gao Cheng while sorting through his father's belongings, but said he did not meet with Gao Cheng afterwards. Gao Jun then met with Shao Jia Bi and Qiu Zhi Bin, and Shao Jia Bi told them the content of her call with Gao Cheng. Gao Jun revealed that Qiu Shou Yi had also called Gao Cheng, shocking Shao Jia Bi who fears Qiu Shou Yi may now know about Qiu Zhi Bin's true paternity, which Qiu Zhi Bin tries to reassure her about.
A drunk Gao Jun confides in Qiu Hao Er that Qiu Zhi Bin is his half-brother, and that Qiu Zhi Lan is Qiu Zhi Bin's twin sister, shocking Qiu Hao Er. Qiu Hao Er informs Qiu Shou Ren, and they need to figure out how to handle this. Qiu Hao Er cancels Qiu Zhi Bin's loan, saying he now knows Qiu Zhi Bin is not part of the Qiu family, so the 10% equity he held is no longer his. He won't ask for the 200 million back, treating it as a gift to Ma Xiao Ling, but wants Qiu Zhi Bin to voluntarily leave the Qiu family, or else he will expose the truth.
