Episode 27 recap: Qiu Shou Yi and Qiu Zhi Bin are in a standoff.
Qiu Hao Er uses her secret about Qiu Zhi Bin's origins to threaten him into leaving the Qiu family. Qiu Zhi Bin asks Simon to quickly sell all his properties, even at a lower price. Gao Jun is unhappy that Qiu Hao Er is letting Qiu Zhi Bin go, as he believes Qiu Zhi Bin was responsible for Qiu Zhi Lan's death and should not be forgiven so easily. He tells Qiu Hao Er that if she lets Qiu Zhi Bin go, he will expose Qiu Zhi Bin's origins. Qiu Hao Er gets angry, telling Gao Jun to do as he pleases, and reminds him that this all started with Gao Cheng, so he shouldn't let people speak ill of him after Gao Cheng's death. She then angrily leaves.
Qiu Shou Yi goes to his father's grave and laments that Qiu Zhi Bin is not his son, but he cannot hand the Qiu family business over to an outsider. He begs his father to guide him on how to get out of this mess.
Qiu Shou Yi privately tells Qiu Zhi Tong that he plans to take the Qiu Group public, and wants to groom her as his new successor. Qiu Zhi Tong agrees to try, not wanting to disappoint her father.
Through the vehicle's dash cam footage, Gao Jun discovers another car was at the scene, and he hopes the police can track down the owner for clues. Qiu Hao Er asks Qiu Zhi Tong to take charge of the company's internal administration in the President's office, and Qiu Zhi Tong hesitantly tells her about Qiu Shou Yi's plan to take the company public.
Qiu Hao Er then gets a call that Zhu Li Qi has woken up. At the hospital, Qiu Shou Ren tells her that Zhu Li Qi fell back asleep due to weakness. Qiu Hao Er then tells Qiu Shou Ren about Qiu Shou Yi's plan, saying she will oppose it as it goes against their grandfather's wishes, and may even try to get Qiu Shou Yi removed as chairman if necessary.
Gao Jun finds Qiu Shou Yi's presence at the scene from the vehicle's dash cam footage. Dai Qi Ting is upset with Qiu Shou Ren for stealing business from her family, and complains to Qiu Shou Yi, who scolds her angrily, leading her to storm out.
Alone in his study, Qiu Shou Yi recalls how he discovered that Qiu Zhi Bin is Gao Cheng's son, and went to confront Gao Cheng, beating him. Gao Cheng only asked Qiu Shou Yi to spare Shao Jia Bi and her son, and also revealed that Qiu Zhi Tong is his and Dai Qi Ting's true biological daughter.
Qiu Shou Ren took the discharged Zhu Li Qi to his own villa to recuperate. Zhu Li Qi asked him why he was still so good to her after she had done so many wrong things. Qiu Shou Ren said that he only hoped Zhu Li Qi would be well by his side, and that they should let the past be the past. Zhu Li Qi was deeply moved.
Qiu Shou Ren wanted to transfer all his shares to Qiu Hao Er, hoping that she and Qiu Shou Yi could resolve their differences and jointly protect the Qiu family, so that he could then travel the world and enjoy life with Zhu Li Qi. Qiu Hao Er respected her father's decision.
Qiu Shou Ren also went to see Qiu Shou Yi, hoping he could let go of his grudge and work with Qiu Hao Er to protect the Qiu family. Qiu Hao Er disagreed with listing the Qiu family company, and told Qiu Shou Yi that if he insisted, she would dismiss him as chairman. She also said that Qiu Zhi Bin had already mortgaged his shares to her, so the 10% would not be available for voting, and the outcome would depend on how the remaining 10% on the board voted. Qiu Shou Yi said he understood.
He Mei Ying felt sorry for her hardworking daughter, and suggested that she go talk to Qiu Shou Yi, believing that her late grandfather would not want them to end up in this situation. Qiu Zhi Bin asked Ma Xiao Ling to leave with Shao Jia Bi first, as Ma Xiao Ling sensed something was wrong. Qiu Zhi Bin told Ma Xiao Ling about his background and that Qiu Hao Er was threatening him to leave the Qiu family, saying that if Qiu Shou Yi found out, he would not let Qiu Zhi Bin go. Ma Xiao Ling advised Qiu Zhi Bin to talk it out with Qiu Shou Yi, believing he would not disregard their father-son relationship of many years.
Gao Jun met with Qiu Zhi Tong and told her that Qiu Shou Yi had been involved in Gao Cheng's incident on the day of his accident. Gao Jun went to Qiu Shou Yi's study and found his revised will, and questioned him about it. Qiu Shou Yi said he already knew Qiu Zhi Bin was not his son, and that Qiu Zhi Bin had used shares to exchange money with Qiu Hao Er, not treating him as a father at all. Qiu Shou Yi was very disappointed and told Gao Jun to leave. Qiu Zhi Bin also got angered, saying that he had not met any clients that day and that it was related to Gao Cheng's death, upon which Qiu Shou Yi slapped him.
