Episode 11 recap: Zhou Yamming bribed the Superintendent Ying Hua to rescue Su Xing.
In the middle of the night, Wang Dalong sneaked into Zhuang Laoda's mansion, held a gun to the sleeping Zhuang Laoda until he woke up. Wang Dalong warned Zhuang Laoda that if he were in his shoes, he would not dare to interfere, then tied him up, shocking Zhuang Laoda greatly.Zhuang Laoda initially thought Wang Dalong was extorting money, but didn't expect Wang Dalong to make him reveal the whereabouts of the painting. Eventually, with Wang Dalong's help, Zhou Yamming obtained the "Portrait of My Uncle-in-Law Wu Yu", and presented this painting to Superintendent Ying Hua. Sure enough, Ying Hua fell in love with the painting and ordered the immediate release of Su Xing.
Li Wenbo personally escorted Su Xing out, reminding him not to go near shady areas like the deep well again, and to spend more time at church to cleanse his soul. Abiao attempted to assassinate Su Xing in prison, but fortunately Li Wenbo arrived in time to intervene and scolded the prison guards.
Tong Sheng, recalling Li Wenbo's advice to his father, realized that he was saying the same things to Su Xing, suspecting that the two had unknown secrets behind them. Because Abiao's mission failed, Dang Xunqi personally went to see Zhuang Laoda, demanding to split the losses, but was rejected by Zhuang Laoda.
Dang Xunqi suspected that Zhuang Laoda colluded with the police to set him up, but Zhuang Laoda flatly denied it and completely ignored his threats, leading to a complete fallout between the two. Tong Jiangnan met with the democratic activists and revealed that Luo Guanying would soon arrange boats to send them north, instructing them to prepare well at home, be careful, and try to stay in contact as much as possible in the next few days.
Now that Tong Jiangnan and the others have agreed to leave Hong Kong, the matter of contacting the shipyard needs to be handled by Dang Xunqi, but Dang Xunqi is also troubled by his own problems, as the arms deal failed, he is worried that Yang the Deputy Officer will cause trouble, and plans to elope with Lin Shiman to the United States.
That night, Wang Dalong and Aben sneaked into the Zhuang mansion, held a gun to the sleeping Zhuang Laoda, and tied him up after waking him. They pretended to be burglars extorting money, with one responsible for the jewelry, and the other finding the painting Zhou Yamming needed, successfully obtaining the "Portrait of My Uncle-in-Law Wu Yu", and deliberately leaving clues to make Zhuang Laoda think it was Dang Xunqi's doing.
Subsequently, Zhou Yamming personally presented the painting to Superintendent Ying Hua under the pretext of appreciation. Sure enough, Ying Hua fell in love with it, summoned Li Wenbo to confirm that Su Xing was not the murderer, and ordered his immediate release.
Li Wen Bo returned the watch to Su Xing and reminded him not to go to dangerous places like the deep well again, and to go to church more often to cleanse his soul.
Dang Xun Qi found the shipping company manager Mr. Huang, who said the boat had been rented by the second young master of the Kong family and would not be back for a while. Although there was another similar boat, it would need at least half a month of maintenance, so Dang Xun Qi reluctantly asked them to complete the repairs within three days.
To make Mr. Huang comply, Dang Xun Qi threatened the safety of his family, and Mr. Huang dared not defy him. Because Tong Jiang Nan's secret departure from Hong Kong was a big deal, Dang Xun Qi was worried that as soon as he left, the British Hong Kong government would target him, so he asked Luo Guan Ying to speak good words to Mao Ren Feng to have himself transferred out of Hong Kong.
Luo Guan Ying understood Dang Xun Qi's concerns and comforted him, saying that his own mission in Hong Kong did not involve interfering with Dang Xun Qi's private arms sales. Hearing this, Dang Xun Qi was greatly relieved. When Su Xing returned to the liaison station, everyone was very happy, but they were sorry that the precious paintings had fallen into the hands of the British.
During his time in the detention center, Su Xing noticed Li Wen Bo and asked Zhou Ya Ming about him. Zhou Ya Ming said that Li Wen Bo was very capable, having solved several major cases in the past, and had risen to the position of Chinese detective, earning the trust of the British. He controlled some of the wealthiest districts in Hong Kong.
So Li Wen Bo was actually taking bribes for the British, and even the major Hong Kong triads dared not offend him, as he was ruthless and known as the "Grim Reaper". Tong Sheng saw the police bulletin about Dang Xun Qi and hurriedly went to the police station, pleading with Jia Liang Jie to help find him.
Just then, Li Wen Bo came out of his office and saw the two talking, wanting to avoid them. But he was noticed by Jia Liang Jie. After Tong Sheng left, Li Wen Bo mistakenly thought the two were discussing a romance and reminded Jia Liang Jie to be more alert and less honest. Meanwhile, Su Xing learned through Zhou Ya Ming that an Indian-dressed person had visited the Tong family, and they suspected this person might be Luo Guan Ying in disguise.
