Episode 20 recap: Dang Xun Qi sent Wu Ya Nan to kidnap Xiao Jing.
Dang Xun Qi sent Wu Ya Nan to kidnap Xiao Jing, causing her to suddenly disappear and making everyone very worried. Zhou Ya Ming and Su Xing searched many places but could not find any trace of Xiao Jing. The only hope was pinned on Wang Da Long, hoping he might have some news. At this time, Wu Ya Nan locked Xiao Jing in a secluded room, interrogating her about Su Xing's whereabouts, but she refused to respond, and was instead subjected to torture.
In order to lure out Dang Xun Qi, Li Wen Bo had Cha Liang Jie release A Biao early in the morning, as only through him could they uncover the truth of this case. Sure enough, after leaving the police station, A Biao immediately went to find Dang Xun Qi, but Dang Xun Qi was puzzled, as he had not arranged for anyone to rescue him, yet A Biao had been released from the police station.

Wu Ya Nan repeatedly interrogated Xiao Jing, demanding that she reveal Su Xing's whereabouts, but Xiao Jing refused to respond, and was instead subjected to torture. Even so, Xiao Jing stubbornly insisted that she did not know Su Xing, which infuriated Wu Ya Nan. Dang Xun Qi planned to use Xiao Jing as bait and deliver a message through the shipping company to lure out Su Xing and the others.
Tong Sheng sat alone on the campus, her mind full of the words Su Xing had said, feeling conflicted and contradictory. Zhang Shao Mu came to find Tong Sheng, once again expressing his feelings for her, and decided that after sending the teacher off on the ship, he would stay in Hong Kong to accompany her and seek revenge together.
Originally, Tong Sheng wanted to refuse, but Zhang Shaomu had already made up his mind.
Afterwards, Su Xing, Zhou Yaming and others searched for Xiaojing separately, but could never find her, so they could only rely on Wang Dalong, but to no avail. Zhang Shaomu revealed Tong Sheng's choice to Tong Jiangnan, so Tong Jiangnan had a good talk with his daughter, and ultimately had to accept her determination for revenge.
Li Wenbo released Abiao early in the morning to lure out Dang Xunqi, as only through him could the truth of these cases be uncovered. Cha Liangjie pretended to interrogate Abiao, deliberately revealing that someone had pleaded for him, and then released him. Zhou Yaming and Su Xing learned of this at the same time, suspecting that there were now only two possibilities - either someone had bribed the police station, or the British wanted to cast a wider net to catch a bigger fish.
After leaving the police station, Abiao immediately went to visit his blind elder sister to confirm that she was fine before resting easy. Li Wenbo had the KMT-bribed police officer Xiao Ma arrested, but the latter admitted to accepting bribes, but denied working for the KMT, and claimed to be completely unaware of people like Dang Xunqi.
A man named Atai came to the shipyard looking for work, and during casual conversation revealed that he had witnessed the secret police kidnapping Xiaojing. The underground comrades quickly contacted Zhou Yaming, and Zhou Yaming had him bring Atai over, intending to personally ask about the situation. Su Xing and Wang Dalong followed Abiao to the Yingfu Hall Chinese medicine shop, and immediately spotted Wu Yanan upstairs.
Wang Dalong, thinking of the sacrificed comrades, was itching to rush up and fight Wu Yanan, but Su Xing hurriedly stopped him to avoid startling the snake. At this moment, Dang Xunqi was surprised that Abiao had actually been released, and even suspected that Abiao had been bought over by the British Hong Kong government. To prove his loyalty, Abiao had Wu Yanan shoot at him, and indeed, Dang Xunqi temporarily believed in his sincerity, and had him take charge of the mission regarding Xiaojing, with Wu Yanan fully cooperating.
