Episode 31 recap: Tong Jiang Nan knows Zhang Shao Mu's true identity.
Although Tong Sheng already knows that Zhang Shao Mu is a Kuomintang spy, she agrees not to reveal it publicly to draw out the real mastermind. This is because Tong Jiang Nan still believes Zhang Shao Mu is a good person, and Zhang Shao Mu has someone kidnap Professor He, deliberately leaving clues pointing to Su Xing as the kidnapper, in order to drive a wedge between Tong Jiang Nan and Su Xing.
Sure enough, Tong Jiang Nan believes this and becomes very angry, thinking that Su Xing is threatening him with the life of Professor He. Since Tong Jiang Nan has contacted the Governor, the entire Hong Kong police force is now searching for Su Xing's whereabouts, and even Zhang Shao Mu has sent people to look for him.
Su Xing meets with Zhou Ya Ming and says that Zhang Shao Mu has deceived them for so long, and now it's time for them to play a good trick on Zhang Shao Mu. Zhang Shao Mu revealed that a ship would arrive in Hong Kong in two days, and suggested that Tong Jiang Nan gather the democracy activists under the pretext of a birthday celebration, and then leave for the pier when the time came. Tong Jiang Nan said he would fully comply with Zhang's arrangement.
Su Xing visited Manager Huang and agreed on a ship in three days. Professor He was kidnapped on his way, and Ah Hui deliberately revealed that he was acting on Su Xing's orders. At noon, a spy came to the Tong family to deliver a letter, which threatened Tong Jiang Nan to ransom Professor He, written in Su Xing's handwriting.
