Episode 14 recap: At dawn, Fushao pretends to be pregnant in order to plan the miscarriage of the dragon child.
Fushao puts on women's clothing, but Yan Zhang Yun keeps his distance from her, as officially she is the emperor's woman. The emperor and his ministers come to discuss taking Fushao as a concubine, but this is opposed by everyone in the court. Later, in order to get rid of the child, Fushao intentionally pretends to trip and fall while passing Xiao Quan, clutching her belly and claiming the child is gone.
Yan Zhang Yun blames himself for not being able to save the Qin family's people, and declares hostility towards Xiao Quan. Because Fushao is pregnant with the dragon child, she is awarded many gold and silver treasures, which she excitedly wears to show off to the Qianyu Guard. The Qianyu Guard is shocked that the little maid has become the emperor's woman.
Fushao deliberately comes to Yan Zhang Yun's room and intentionally lets her jewelry show, while Yan Zhang Yun, troubled by the killing of the Qin family, is drinking alone in his room. Fushao mistakenly thinks he is drinking because of her, and even asks Yan Zhang Yun to keep her before her official ceremony.

Fushao wakes up to find the palace ladies doting on her, restricting her eating and movements. Fushao finally begs the emperor to let her go, and the emperor makes pillows for each month, instructing the doctors to claim the baby is Nezha.
Xiao Quan questions whether he is a rebel in court, and is now being ostracized by Yan Zhang Yun, even restricted from freely entering the Xiao manor. Yan Zhang Yun refutes his guilty conscience, while Xiao Quan pins the crime of colluding with rebels on him using Yingyue's origins. The emperor reconciles the two, not wanting to offend either.
The Emperor announced the birth of the dawn dragon son and wanted to take a new empress, but faced opposition from the ministers and even the Empress Dowager. The palace had never had a dragon son before, and the imperial concubines were overjoyed. Even the Empress couldn't help but touch Fushao's belly, saying that the Southern Kingdom finally had an heir, and they must take good care of the dragon son. The Empress was genuinely happy for Fushao, as she had also gained the Emperor's favor and was not neglected due to the dragon son.
Fushao saw Yan Zhang Yun in the distance and pretended to have a stomachache in order to go find him. On the way, she ran into the Emperor, who learned that Yan Zhang Yun was in a bad mood due to the incident at the new moon, and had chosen to save Chuyue last time.
Uncle Lei was hiding in Yan Zhang Yun's secret room to recover from his injuries, and urged Yan Zhang Yun not to forget Fushao's identity as an assassin, as once her memory returned, it would spell trouble. Yan Zhang Yun also needed to find out the whereabouts of the jade ring, and couldn't kill her, trying to hide the fact that he had feelings for her.
Yan Zhang Yun said he wouldn't indulge in romantic feelings, as he had caused trouble for a farming family in his childhood. Xiao Quan suspected Yan Zhang Yun was actually Qin Yan, and told Bai Yi, who claimed he had killed Qin Yan himself and made him fall off a cliff.
Xiao Quan said that as long as he sat on the dragon throne of the Southern Kingdom, he would definitely help Fushao seize the Ningguo territory. The Empress hoped her brother Xiao Quan could help Fushao seek the Empress Dowager's approval for her title, and he reluctantly agreed, but later arranged for Xueru, the Empress's personal maid, to eliminate the dragon son. Fushao couldn't understand how the Empress, who clearly loved the Emperor, could tolerate another woman vying for his favor.
In the middle of the night, a masked woman approached Fushao again, and thinking she was a fellow disciple, Fushao let down her guard. The Empress couldn't believe Xueru, who had grown up with her, had such intentions. Yan Zhang Yun wanted to take Xueru back to interrogate and find the mastermind, but Xueru sacrificed herself to protect Xiao Quan.
The carefree Emperor was sipping tea when Fushao came to reproach him for his indifference as Xueru had died and the Empress was grieving. The eunuch scolded Fushao for her improper behavior, but the Emperor told the eunuch to treat the mother of the crown prince well. Hearing this, Fushao immediately wanted to remove her fake belly, no longer wanting to pretend.
The Emperor warned that if the false pregnancy was exposed, she would be executed. Fushao, determined to get rid of the dragon son, planned a fake fall, but just as she stepped onto the table, she ran into Xiao Quan. She deliberately walked towards him, and as they brushed past each other, Fushao staged a fake fall, clutching her belly and screaming in pain, shifting the blame onto Xiao Quan.
