Episode 22 recap: At dawn, she sought revenge on the Yan family and wounded Yan Zhang Yun.

Fushao did not believe that Yan Zhang Yun was Qin Yan, so she drew her sword against him. He then admitted that he was Qin Yan. Fushao said that when she was young, his family had saved hers, but he had sent people to kill her family. To make Fushao completely leave him, Yan Zhang Yun lied that he had gotten close to her only to obtain the jade bracelet. Just as he was about to attack her, Fushao stabbed Yan Zhang Yun with an arrow. At that moment, Acheng arrived and knocked Fushao unconscious. Before fainting, Yan Zhang Yun told Bai Yi not to forget their promise, and Bai Yi then took the unconscious Fushao away.

The Empress looked sadly into the distance, and the Emperor wrapped a coat around her, as she lamented being born into the Xiao family. News of Fushao's assassination attempt on Yan Zhang Yun reached the Emperor, who ordered the imperial physicians to save Yan Zhang Yun's life.

After taking Bai Yi's antidote, Fushao regained her memory, which had been lost when Acheng struck her head. She now wanted to go back and check if Qin Yan, who had killed her family, was dead. But Bai Yi asked her to forget her hatred.

Chuyue cared for Yan Zhang Yun, who kept murmuring Fushao's name. When he woke up and found Fushao was not there, he knew she had stabbed him because of Chuyue, and he drove Chuyue away, despite Lieshu's pleading.

Xiao Quan decided to force Qin Yan to come out. The next day, the Emperor learned that Ningguo was going to wage war, with the reason being to demand that the Southern Kingdom hand over Yan Zhang Yun.

Xiao Quan suggested handing over Yan Zhang Yun and considering the big picture. Seeing the Emperor was still hesitant, Xiao Quan proposed framing the remaining followers of Guan You for killing Princess Jiayang, so that eliminating them could avert the war with Ningguo.

Acheng told Yan Zhang Yun about the Emperor's order to eliminate the remnants of the Qin family. Yan Zhang Yun then confessed to the Emperor that he was Qin Yan, hoping to sacrifice himself to save the innocent people. The Emperor, who had long known Yan Zhang Yun's true identity but concealed it out of their childhood friendship, now ordered Yan Zhang Yun imprisoned and any access to him forbidden. The Emperor then issued an edict announcing that Qin Yan had been captured and would soon be executed.

Xiao Quan learned that Yan Zhang Yun had been thrown in prison, and began to arrange for people to stir up trouble at the border. The emperor's spy came to report that Xiao Quan's side was starting to make some moves. Bai Yi told Bai Wuxing to try to recall the whereabouts of the jade ring, but she pretended to not remember anything, even though she had actually hidden the jade ring in her master's jade case.

After evading her master, Bai Wuxing encountered her shijie (martial sister) and questioned her about why she had killed Princess Jiayang. When her shijie did not confess, Bai Wuxing directly drew out her sword, and the wound on Princess Jiayang's body matched the sword. The shijie admitted that she had killed the princess on the master's orders, in order to eliminate Yan Zhang Yun. She also said that Yan Zhang Yun had willingly fallen to her sword for Bai Wuxing's sake.

Bai Wuxing recalled that her master had explained that he did not order his disciples to kill Jiayang, and realized that even her master had been deceiving her, and that she had misjudged Yan Zhang Yun. The poison in Bai Wuxing's body had been cured, and Bai Yi again asked Bai Wuxing to remember the whereabouts of the jade ring. Bai Wuxing continued to pretend to not remember, saying she missed the days of Wanshige's evil-eliminating, and she purposely knocked over the jade case, saying she would take it to be repaired. Bai Yi did not blame her for being careless.

Back in her room, Bai Wuxing took out the ring from the jade case and examined it repeatedly, wondering why Bai Yi and Yan Zhang Yun had been searching for it, as there didn't seem to be any secrets. When she accidentally triggered a mechanism, a note fell out, shocking her. The next day, when the disciple was massaging the master's leg, she found the jade case was not as smooth as before, and when Bai Yi checked it, he found one piece was missing.

Realizing Bai Wuxing was not in her room, Bai Yi immediately sent a messenger pigeon to capture her. Bai Wuxing took the evidence and rushed to the capital, but was intercepted on the way by the masked Xiao Quan, and she remembered that this was the one who had killed her entire village.
