Episode 34 recap: Yu De Fu was determined to quickly eliminate Rong Er.

Yu De Fu pretended to be pitiful and deceived Rong Hui Tai Fei to get some money. When Rong Er saw that Yu De Fu was anxious and wanted to chase him, the Empress Dowager just happened to be calling her, so Qing Er could only say to let her go in and serve the Empress Dowager. She went to chase Yu De Fu, and Qing Er told Yu De Fu that she had completed everything he asked her to do, and asked Yu De Fu to give her some medicine, which Yu De Fu gave her.

Rong Er told Rong Hui Tai Fei about Yu De Fu's theft of treasures, saying that he had used Duan Kang Tai Fei's funeral and the transmission of burial goods to take the treasures out of the palace. But Rong Hui Tai Fei asked her if she had actually seen the eunuch Yu De Fu stealing the treasures. Yu De Fu had been serving the Emperor for so long, and now there was no direct evidence, so how could the Emperor be made to believe it? Moreover, the treasures had already been taken out of the palace, and there was no way to control the eunuch Yu De Fu anymore. She knew that Rong Er was still deeply grieved by Shou Xi's death, but now Sun Yi and Wu Tian had already died, and Rong Er had also been in constant danger, so Shou Xi in heaven would hope that she could be safe, and Yu De Fu would never be able to steal treasures again, so she should not cling to this.

Qing Er came back and told Rong Er that she had lost track of Yu De Fu while following him. That night, a minor eunuch informed Yu De Fu that he had overheard Rong Er accusing him of stealing treasures to Rong Hui Tai Fei during the day. Yu De Fu said that he had originally wanted to let her go, but since she kept clinging to it, he was preparing to kill her to cover his tracks.

Li Qi stared blankly at her Imperial Palace guard uniform, realizing that she would no longer be a palace guard. Yumei complained that the Emperor was too stingy and did not give Li Qi any severance pay, but Li Qi said the Emperor also had his difficulties, and told her not to speak randomly. Rong Hui Tai Fei was bitten by mosquitoes and wanted to light some mosquito coils, but the mosquito coils were made by the Imperial Household Department and were no longer available. Rong Er asked the Empress Dowager for leave to go home.

Rong Er brought some pastries to Li Qi's house and told her that she had seen Yu De Fu and reported his theft of treasures to Rong Hui Tai Fei. Rong Er said she would continue to investigate the case and catch Yu De Fu. Li Qi told her not to act alone, and said she knew Yu De Fu had a residence outside the palace, but didn't know the exact location. Rong Er said as long as Yu De Fu was still in the capital, there would be a way to find him.

Rong Er helped Rong Hui Tai Fei buy mosquito coils on the street, and found that the mosquito coils outside the palace were very different from the ones made by the Imperial Household Department. Rong Er couldn't find a suitable one, but the shopkeeper brought out a new type of mosquito coil, and Rong Er decided to take it home and try it. Li Qi bought a bouquet of flowers and gave it to Rong Er, saying she would always wait for her.

Someone conveyed a message to Qing Er, telling her to lure Rong Er to the Treasure Hall. Qing Er asked them what their relationship was, and the messenger said that she just needs to complete her own task, without needing to worry about other things. Yu De Fu found the eldest prince and told him to quickly repay the gambling debt, as he had accumulated a lot over the past few months. The eldest prince said that Rong Hui Tai Fei is currently staying at his residence, and if anything happens to him, Rong Hui Tai Fei will certainly cover for him. Yu De Fu asked if the house is still his, and the eldest prince said it is, but the property deed is mortgaged with Yu De Fu, so the eldest prince had no choice but to use Liu Shou Gui's 100 taels of silver debt document as collateral. Upon learning that Liu Shou Gui is Rong Er's father, Yu De Fu felt that this was heaven-sent and told the eldest prince to listen to his commands.

Li Qi and Liu Er found Lu Qiu Tong and explained the whole situation to him. Only then did Lu Qiu Tong and the two realize that Yu De Fu was the mastermind behind the treasure theft. Liu Er was very angry and wanted to expose them, but was stopped by Lu Qiu Tong, who said there was no evidence.

Lu Qiu Tong said he would continue investigating, and Li Qi mentioned he could start from Li Taifeng. Lu Qiu Tong asked Li Qi what his future plans were, and Li Qi said he wanted to find a job outside the palace, but had been repeatedly rejected, feeling that palace guards have fallen on hard times.

The eldest prince used the pretext of restoration to deceive Rong Hui Tai Fei, and Rong Hui Tai Fei gave him all her jewelry. Rong Er couldn't stop her. Qing Er told Rong Er that the Empress Dowager also asked her to pawn things for money, and invited Rong Er to go with her.

Someone sent a note to Li Qi, letting him know that Rong Er was in danger. Li Qi rushed to rescue the two, guessing it was Yu De Fu's doing. He told Rong Er to go out less or go straight home, but Rong Er couldn't leave the Empress Dowager as she had just moved to the Grand Princess's mansion and was short-handed. Li Qi decided to quickly find the Emperor and inform him of this matter.
