Episode 37 recap: Chen Huan returned to his home country with his son Chen Can.
Chen Huan held his son Chen Can as he returned home, and Hu Gui Lan and Chen Qing saw the two of them and were excited beyond measure. Yao Lan did not agree with Director Teacher giving the research project to Chen Huan, as she felt it was not appropriate for him to take it on right after returning home.
The director told her this was not a valid reason, as Chen Huan had just published a new book. Lin Ping Ping asked Chen Huan how his son was doing, and Chen Huan told her he was doing well and the doctor said he could be discharged. Lin Ping Ping told Chen Huan that her work visa had been processed, and Chen Huan thought the two of them were quite amusing.
It seems the certificates Chen Huan has obtained from school until now are not enough to get the visa approved. Lin Ping Ping asked him if it was difficult, and Chen Huan said it was. Chen Huan told Lin Ping Ping that once his son was discharged, they would all go take a family photo, and he would also buy his son some new clothes - he told Lin Ping Ping to remember that.
After saying that, Chen Huan went out and was walking back and forth in the hospital corridor. When Chen Huan returned to his home, he saw the dusty room, and felt conflicted within. After Liang Zi came out of the bathroom, she ran into Yang Xia and Yang Li, and Yang Xia told Yang Li to grab Liang Zi. Chen Qing looked at the young child Chen Can and thought that Lin Ping Ping's heart was truly cruel, to let such a young child be so far away from her.
The teacher, Director Dong, had assigned an important topic to Chen Huan to work on, and Yao Lan was once again unwilling.
