Episode 17 recap: Ye Ming Yu sold the security agency to save the Ye family.
Lai Biao lost the bet and told Xue Fang Fei about the Tuoluo buyer. Lord Tong did not expect Xue Fang Fei to be so capable, and was actually able to get Lai Biao to help her find clues. To cover his tracks, he had someone kill the witnesses at the buyer's medicine shop overnight, but Xue Fang Fei arrived too late.
Xiao Heng waited for Chu Lan to show up, hiding in a small hut watching his movements. Wu Lan's tip gave Xue Fang Fei another lead, and Ye Ming Yu was able to help her again. Xiao Heng asked Lai Biao to help, hoping he would bring reinforcements, and Lai Biao agreed.

Wen Ji and Lu Ji watched Wu Lan, waiting for Chu Lan to appear. Wu Lan pretended to be ready. Chu Lan appeared wearing a mask, and Xiao Heng quietly observed him from the rooftop. Soon after meeting Wu Lan, Chu Lan communicated with her in a foreign language, threatening to kill her brother if she didn't continue working with him. Xiao Heng couldn't understand their conversation.
Chu Lan was prepared - he knew Xiao Heng had no reinforcements, so he arranged assassins around the house, ready to strike. Xiao Heng was surrounded and injured by the assassins, but luckily Lai Biao arrived with people to rescue him. Xiao Heng was grateful that Lai Biao kept his promise, and Lai Biao repaid the favor to General Xiao. Now Lai Biao waits for Li Zhong Nan's forces to collapse.
After Xue Fang Fei woke up, Ye Jia Er brought her a restorative soup, hoping she could rest more. But Xue Fang Fei couldn't sit still, and she went with Ye Ming Yu to the Daefeng Pharmacy to inquire about the situation. The pharmacy door was closed, so Ye Ming Yu asked Ashun to climb the wall to take a look. Just then, the Tong Magistrate appeared at the Daefeng Pharmacy with his men, stating he would oversee this matter, and had Ashun taken away for investigation.
Ye Ming Yu couldn't hold back his anger, but Xue Fang Fei persuaded him to stay calm. Xue Fang Fei rushed to stop Tang Fan, hoping he would continue the investigation, but Tang Fan declined, saying this matter was not under his jurisdiction. The patrol arrived to find the Tong Magistrate in costume, playing around, and immediately arrested him for questioning.
Ye Ming Yu worried about the aftermath, but Xue Fang Fei had already devised a strategy. She used the Tong Magistrate's greed against him, making him beg the Ye family for help, knowing Li Zhongnan would never trust him again. Ye Ming Xuan was successfully rescued, and he admired Xue Fang Fei's cleverness, preparing to introduce her to Ye Lao Fu Ren.
Seeing Xue Fang Fei, Ye Lao Fu Ren felt sorry that this granddaughter had wandered alone, not blaming her youthful actions. Xue Fang Fei was comforted, knowing Jiang Li's spirit in heaven could feel the Ye family's warmth.
